Tasty Cuisine, but Service and Seating Confusion
Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars
During a recent visit to a Chinese restaurant, my experience was a mix of highs and lows. While the food itself was delicious and served promptly, there were a few aspects that left something to be desired.
Upon entering the restaurant, the first challenge we encountered was the lack of clarity regarding seating arrangements. The presence of a long line extending to the door created confusion as it turned out to be for online orders rather than for dine-in customers. There was no clear direction or communication from the staff to guide us on whether to wait in line, wait to be seated, or seat ourselves. This lack of organization resulted in a somewhat chaotic and disorienting start to our dining experience.
One particular disappointment was the limited availability of wonton soup. I was informed that it was only served in the mornings, which was unexpected. I was it left us longing for a dish that we had been looking forward to enjoying.
Despite these initial setbacks, the quality of the food itself was commendable. The dishes we ordered were prepared fresh, steaming hot, and bursting with flavor. The flavors were authentic and well-balanced, leaving us satisfied and appreciative of the culinary expertise demonstrated in the kitchen.
On the downside, the service from our waitress was lacking. She never checked on us or inquired about our dining experience, which left us feeling neglected. Additionally, refills were not offered.
In conclusion, while the food at this Chinese restaurant was undoubtedly delicious and served with great care, there were notable areas for improvement. The confusion surrounding seating arrangements upon arrival and the limited availability of certain dishes, like the wonton soup, were disappointing. Furthermore, the lack of attentiveness from the waitress, along with the absence of refills, impacted the overall dining experience. Despite these drawbacks, the flavors of the food were exceptional, which may warrant a visit for those seeking a tasty...
Read moreWe have eating here many times and each time, we have dropped at least $100 on the meal (we enjoyed the food). We have eating at the restaurant and ordered it to go. On Saturday May 28, we ordered a large meal to go to seat at home and watch movies. It didn't take long before everyone had gotten their food and had sat down. About 5 minutes later my mom said "look what I found in my food". When we looked, many of us said an onion? She said "no, it's a piece of glass." She said that she had it in her mouth and had pulled it out. She was eating the chicken chow mein and the glass just disappeared in it. We called the restaurant and told them what we found and asked them if they wanted us to bring it to them and they said "yes". When we got there we opened the chicken chow mein and they could not see the piece of glass that was on the chicken chow mein until we showed them. One of the employees took the chicken chow mein and piece of glass to the back. The other employee asked if we wanted another chicken chow mein or a refund. We said that we would take the refund, there was no way that we were going to eating that again. About 5 minutes later the other employee that took the chicken chow mein and the piece of glass and put the piece of glass on the counter and said that she went to the back and said that this piece of glass does not belong to anything they had. I said are you calling me, my wife and my mom liars. The said no and then I asked to speak to the owner or manager and they said "no." I took the piece of glass from the counter and left. We will never eat there again, we will never recommend them to anyone and we will tell everyone what had happen. If I was reading this and was trying to make up my mind if I should eat here or not, I would choice not......Things happen, we all know that, it's when you don't take responsibility for it. It may not have come from their kitchen, it may have come from the food that they were processing. But it's taking ownership of making a mistake and they gladly...
Read moreSo I’m going to be honest in my review. We came on Christmas Eve with a large group, and that was ALL BAD!!! During our time there which was 2 hours before we got our food, but during our time there we witnessed an entire table get up and walk out not paying because the service was trash! When we first walked in we were greeted by an ECTREMELY RUDE AND HOSTIL E HOSTESS who told us we shouldn’t have come in, in such a large group and that we shouldn’t have let them know we were coming! Except we had multiple people trying to call anc had been put on hold and hung up on multiple times. I told her that we tried calling and tried to let them know we were coming, but we had been put on hold or hung up on to which she responded angrily well we’re really busy. Then we ordered and waited 2 hours for food! They brought out the kids food last, the plates were sparsdic and didn’t come out in order, they just never brought us fried rice with our Entree meal, but we just gave up and didn’t try to get it because by then the plates that had been served about 30 minutes before us were finishing up while half the table waited still for the rest of their meals!! And then here is the kicker!!! They had the audacity to charge us gratuity after waiting 2 hours! After getting only some food and then waiting additional time to get an actual complete meal. After a table got up after they had eaten and left without paying they had the audacity to charge us 14 dollar gratuity for garbage service!! That table wasn’t the only argument taking place there was multiple unhappy customers frustrated with the staff and to be honest the staff of this restaurant needs training in de escalating conflict! The food is fresh! I’ll give them that! But the service was the absolute worst I’ve ever experienced and then we were forced to pay a gratuity for that awful service, we will never be back. I wouldn’t recommend bringing a large group they absolutely, 100%...
