Cool place with lots of historical things to view as well as sideshow type attractions you'd expect at a carnival from yesteryear. Jake the Alligator Man, a stuffed bear, all sorts of medieval looking weapons and armor helmets, even a real life replica of the Master Sword and Hylian Shield from The Legend of Zelda. There's all sorts of cool stuff like that that you can view if you come here, and entrance is free. There's a cool World Series type pinball game from the 1937 World Series, and even one of those fortune-telling machines like you saw in the movie Big in the 1980s. Out front there's a really cool wooden sculpture of a Sasquatch. It's worth stopping in for the free carnival sideshow attraction type vibe it has, which seems straight out of the past in a good way. It's also a store: lots of cool trinkets and things, whether it's things like large shells, shirts, mugs and other things you'd expect at a coastal tourist trap store or unexpected stuff. Prices vary from affordable to quite a lot. But that's always expected in tourist traps on the coast and as far as they go this one's pretty cool. Lots of awesome stuff to view that's not product for sale, which makes it always worth stopping in for visit if you're...

This is another great spot. They advertise as a free museum And they are but they are awesome There are big gift shop with plenty of things To buy and look at. They have a lot of museum items throughout the store and they're famous for Jake the alligator man Who they advertise all over the world and you Must see him. If possible bring a pocket full of dimes They have a lot of the old time arcade machines And video machines you can play. If you have kids this will keep them entertained as you wander through the store. It's not just a gift shop it's a museum gift shop all-in-one. And summertime it gets so packed. That if you're there any time throughout the year go. And every time you'll see...

This is a fun and fascinating store loaded with curiosities and antiques. They also have a large selection of souvenirs for sale. I enjoyed myself. Having said that, this place is not for everyone. Small children of a sensitive nature might find some of the things, like the alligator man, disturbing or frightening, so I would recommend that an adult scouts out the place in advance to decide for themselves if it's appropriate. Also, some of the antiques do date back to times when people didn't think care about the pain and suffering caused by racism and negative stereotypes. I saw those objects as a reminder of how things were and as potential teaching tools, but educational or not, they are...

Quirky, fun place. Definitely recommend visiting while in Longbeach. It reminds me of the Ye Old Curiosity Shop in Seattle because of the odd taxidermi. My kids loved exploring all the fun things. They have plenty of touristy gifts of course, but also lots of unique things. They have a bunch of antique 5, 10, 25 cent games and music players that were fun to try. My kids played a 5 cent shell claw machine a couple times and each got a shell on one of their tries. Not a bad gamble. They also have a lot of shells you can purchase ranging from 1 cent to several dollars each. My kids enjoyed picking out a few. Their grandparents thought it would be a fun souvenir and it was, along with some saltwater taffy!
