Dear people Google Review is here for a reason , check out the worst customer service experience ever at SHAMY CAMERA I come in the Samys stores every week or 2 weeks, I always buy- in each of my visit. In 30 years I bought more than $1000,000 in cameras, lenses , ink and photopaper. I'm writing the truth , you are welcome to check out in your system. And I can buy another $1000,000 for the next 10 years or less if their employees were not mean at me. I go to the GM Ray and complain about it. The 3rd Floor manager Fernando. Fernando does a "TERRIBLE JOB" Fernando step away while I was talking to him, yell at me for taking a bag of fliers - I explain to him that it is more than 20 years that I pick up fliers for my students- after few minutes he apologized - 3 months after he step away again while I'm talking to him . This is means missing of education and disrespectful attitude. I don't want to come in a place where I'm coursed and disrespect. Last week oct 30 , 2017 I complain with Ray about the manager Fernando attitude, because he step away while I was talking to him. It is 20 years that I come in this store , I ask the price for the camera to the seller person - and a better price to Walter, George green , Sochi, etc
I look at Samys business and ask:- How Long can this last? I give less then 2 years before they start to shoot their stores down! If I was an employee in this "inconsistent environment " , I start to look for a better opportunity! Conclusion the GM is not looking to motivate employees and build relationships with clients , he is looking to make his self bigger, unfortunately without succeeding. Ray Norouzi is only a "LOOSER" , uneducated, disrespectful person, who need to stay away from clients and public relationships. I call "LOOSER" a person who take my trust and step on it. He ask me to talk to him when I need a better price in the cameras, and when I talk to him , he get mad at me , blame me for something wrong that I didn't do and step away from me. Samy is using his business to "DISCHARGE THE HATE HIS WIFE AND OR FAMILY PUT IN HIM" that's why , his employees put their hate on me. SHAME ON YOU ! I will be happy to make circulate my money in an environment where there are employees That give me consideration and show me some respect. SHAME AT SAMY, SAMY'S CAMERA, AND SAMY'S CAMERA MANAGEMENT. SAMY LOOSER" Do not try to answer to my review by saying that you drop the balls , I already hear it from your Culver City manager Boid few months ago. HE ALSO ADD that THE bad attitude doesn't come from Samys - it is a "pathetic lie" . THE FISH STINK FROM THE HEAD . I complain in Samys corporate office on Beatrice st, 1 person says that Samy already left for the day, another person says that he is in a meeting upstairs and he send David to talk to me. "SAMYS IS MADE OF PURE LIES" Samy is not the correct name You forget to add an H "SHAMY" is the correct name. Today Wednesday November 8, 2017 10:15am Shamy call me , I ask him if he has 5 minutes for me and he says yes . I explain him all the story I'm kindly and cordial. And after 3 minutes he says that he has a conference call and he can't talk to me and he just cut me off SHAME AT YOU ! I needed a camera for an upcoming once in a lifetime 6 week trip for an African safari as well as the Northern Lights. Two of my photographer friends recommended the same camera to me so I went to Samy's Camera on their recommendation to get help as I'm a complete beginner and had no idea what I needed. Brenden spend around 2.5 to 3 hours with me over 2 days to help me choose a camera as well as lenses (1 to buy and 1 to rent). He was very patient and knowledgable about which camera and lenses would be best for the purpose I had. He showed me the differences between lenses and discussed the differences between the cameras that were suggested. He was never pushy and I never felt like he was just trying to sell me something, it truly felt that he only had my best interest in choosing a camera and lens. Not only did he help choose everything I needed but he went ABOVE AND BEYOND and looked for rebates and coupons to apply to my purchase, he called his manager Ray over to see if one of the Black Friday deals would be applied to the camera. They didn't know that day if it would but said they would know in a few days and that they would do the best they could to help me. True to their word, Ray called me later that week to tell me that the deal would apply to the camera. I purchased the camera, a lens, card reader and cards with future discounts applied which was extremely helpful to me as I was going to be gone when the deal started. When I asked Brenden if I could just get a case off Amazon (hoping to save some money), he said that I could but the quality may not be as good. He then walked me over to an isle with camera bags and gave me one as well as a cleaning kit for free which after being so overwhelmed by this investment, I felt that kindness very deeply, they did everything they possibly could to take care of me. Danny in the rental department was a pleasure to talk to and he set me up with a pick up date for the zoom lens I was going to rent, explained the policies in case anything happened to it as well as answered my questions and told me the lens would come with a case for safety of it.
When I first walked in I was so nervous about making such a large investment in a professional camera but walked out feeling that it was well worth it. I spent over 6k but the knowledge and kindness of Brenden made this overwhelming experience a joy and I'm confident I have everything I need to capture amazing photos and memories. Without Brenden, I wouldn't have had everything that I needed and I'm abundantly thankful to Brenden, Ray and Danny for providing a heartwarming experience and truly caring about their customers. I can't wait to go back and show the the photos from my trip!

Read moreWalt the General Manager is a jackass. He told me never to come to his store again. Here's what I caught them in the act of doing. If you shoot film they will place chromatic aberrations in your scans, and tell you that if frequently occurs with film negative. Then they will try to talk you into buying a $3500 digital camera and tell you the the built in camera processor will remove the chromatic aberrations. I was previously talking to a person at their corporate office and Walt said that they did not have a corporate office. Google it for yourself Walt you have a corporate office. When I asked Walt to to look at the negative with a loop and see it there was any green because this is an indication of chromatic Aberration. I could believe my ears the General Manager told me that he did not know anything about film. Then he said that he would redo my scans personally. Wait a moment, but you just said that you do not know anything about film. They staff only want their commissions, they are like used car sales men, and dirty mechanics. I USED THE EXACT SAME CAMERA EQUIPMENT LAST YEAR AND WENT TO A DIFFERENT LAB AND NEVER HAD ANY CHROMATIC ABERRATIONS, AND NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN EVERY TIME I GO HERE I HAVE CHROMATIC ABERRATIONS. THEY TRY TO TELL YOU IT THE LENS AND TRY TO TALK YOU INTO BUYING A $5000 ZEISS LENS TO PUT ON A $3500 DIGITAL CAMERA. I caught them in the act and that is why they no longer want me at their store. The person I talked with at their corporate office I told him that I have a collapsed femoral head and it causes me severe pain, and he said I could mail the negative to him and he would forward the negative to the Fairfax location for processing. When I told Walt that I only wanted to pay for the negative processing and I would like to have him mail me the negatives he told me I had to come there and pick them up.
