Mad Pub — Restaurant in Madeira Beach

My husband, and many other husbands’, love the Mad Pub! Located in the touristy shopping and restaurant conglomerate that is John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk, this bar is connected to a family owned cigar bar and is the perfect place to leave your husband while you shop! After visiting the cigar shop on vacation many years ago, they prepped my husband’s cigar and told him to go Nextdoor if he wanted a place to smoke it with a drink! After shopping, I joined him. The pub is open air and surrounded by TV’s playing mostly sports. It’s a great place to watch football and get some craft drinks!

My husband’s order: He loves the Espresso Martini served with an old school rock candy lolly which he promptly hands to me. The smoked Old Fashioned is also a nice option, smoked in front of you at the bar and includes craft ice and garnish. I’m not a drinker, but I go for the Barton games and people watching. We have a great time every time we go and highly recommend! We’re VERY happy it’s opened again after the hurricanes… with $4.00 for now! New bar tender ran a tab on me when I asked him not to pd @ time of purchase then he came running after me outside in front of years of long friends my husband has spent hundreds of dollars made a fool of me in front r friends @ this place we r regulars live here year round bring all r family friends to this cigar place told cindy what new bartender did just laughed it off and we will never ever spend one dime in that dishonest bar again never ever ever R loyalty card was not given me my discount @ all cindy just laughed it off no credit no discount on even anything else she is supposed to care about reg r friends n family come when the snow birds go home who will keep them a float when regulars r abused ripped off an r taken advantage of i am going to talk to marko n his wife about this so sad so disappointed my heart hurts felt as we were all family I am done with cindy it is over over over how could she treat us like that. The drinks are way too high. My one mixed drink was $14. When I walked into the place all of the bartenders and waitresses looked mad. I guess that's why they call it mad Pub. They had their arms crossed and there were in a huddle with their back to everyone. I had to wait at least 15 minutes to order a drink and then when I went up to sing a song and put the drink on a table close to the stage one of the bartenders took it away without asking. So when I asked who took it he said he did. I said that drink cost almost $15 and he says I'll get you another one. So I said that's cool. When he came back with the drink he tried to belittle me by saying man I didn't know you were so in love with that drink here you go. I tried to tell him that I was just a little freaked out that somebody took my drink because I try to keep an eye on my drinks because you never know if someone might put something in one.
