Before writing this review, know that, yes, I did first reach out to Fitness Connection several times. I voiced my concerns about the facilities cleanliness and overall experience. Unfortunately I was told many excuses and made many promises and nothing has changed, so Iâm making my review public.
I was told that âWe only have one cleaning lady and she canât work all the time.â First, you just admitted that the facility doesnât get cleaned on the days that she isnât present. Thatâs a huge issue! Second, I completely understand being short staffed, most business are! But if a business canât keep up with basic cleaning elements of running a gym due to the influx in occupancy that they caused by reducing their hours, then they shouldnât be open.
It is absolutely unacceptable to find used feminine douches, tampons, sanitary pads, panty liners, underwear, toilet paper and more, on a regular bases in the locker room showers!
You canât follow behind someone nor be in the locker rooms 24/7, but you CAN do what you promised to do and put a trash bin in the shower area.
I wonât even address how offended I am that the âbenched showerâ for the disabled doesnât have any privacy. Fitness Connection has given so little thought for diversity that they didnât even put a shower curtain in the ONE shower shall we can use safety!
Free Childcare? No one should feel safe dropping off their kids off at the kid center! Itâs not really free if you drop off youâre children and they go home sick. What makes you think they are concerns for youâre childrens safety if they can NOT even complying with the BASIC cleaning COVID-19 recommendations and best practices from the State of Texas?
Why are so many items broken? From bathroom sinks, water fountains, workout machines, to soap and paper towel dispensers? And for weeks and months on end?
Everyone talks about how amazing this gym is, and it really WAS at one time, but the past is the past and itâs not anymore!
Please take a look at the photographs attached to this review and make your own judgments. Some pictures look alike, but are taken on different days to further prove my point that the gym is NOT cleaned on the daily.
My recommendations for a safer and more pleasant gym experience.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces, such as workstations, keyboards, telephones, handrails, and doorknobs. Clean dirty surfaces with soap and water prior to disinfection. To disinfect, use products that meet EPAâs criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the cause of COVID- 19, and are appropriate for the surface. Give privacy to ALL stalls! Also consider making standard showers stalls universal sense they are all of large size. Put a waste basket in the shower area so that all trash can be disposed of properly. Consider hiring another housekeeper so that the facility can be cleaning on the days that the other...

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction regarding a recent and troubling experience at your facility. During my visit to Fitness Connection, my personal belongings were stolen from a locker that I had secured with my own lock. This incident has left me extremely frustrated and concerned about the lack of security measures in place to protect membersâ property.
While I understand that gyms may not hold direct responsibility for personal items, it is entirely reasonable for members to expect a basic level of safety and monitoring in locker room areas. There were no visible security cameras, no staff presence, and no clear signs that effective deterrents against theft are in place.
What added further frustration was the response I received from the manager on duty. Rather than addressing the security lapse, I was advised that I should consider going home to change after work before coming to the gym, and that I should take off my watch before even entering the building. These suggestions placed the burden solely on me, the victim, and were both impractical and dismissive of the core issueâyour facilityâs failure to provide a secure environment for its members.
I urge Fitness Connection to take this matter seriously. I expect a thorough investigation of the incident, as well as clear communication on what measures will be taken to improve locker room security. Whether itâs installing surveillance cameras, increasing staff patrols, or improving member communication about potential risks, meaningful changes must be made. At the very least, I expect acknowledgment of this issue and transparency regarding the steps being taken to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
This experience was deeply disappointing, and I sincerely hope Fitness Connection will respond with the seriousness and professionalism this...
Read moreGreat gym. There are a couple things that could be improved, but I had a great workout. Not busy at all during the morning on a week day. I went as a guest of my husbandâs, who has a membership. I give a one star because of the manager. He is the reason I will NOT join their membership. The manager was checking me in, but wanted to go over a goals worksheet, tour, and membership plans, etc. When I asked to opt out of the tour (the gym is small enough you can walk in and see everything) and goals worksheet he gave us an ultimatum to either do everything or pay for a day pass. My husbandâs membership includes the same guest once every four months; it was very inappropriate. During our conversation I expressed that I had never had to go through this extent just to visit a gym. That I just want to see if I like it. His response was that this was not your regular $10 gym. Let me just say; itâs an ok gym but not a luxury one. After the physical goals worksheet he asked us to find him after our workout to speak more. He was speaking with another individual after our workout so we left. I received an email from him for a scheduled meeting. I initially thought it was spam until I received the reminder email for the meeting. I responded to him respectfully to remove me from his meeting. He then sent me another scheduled meeting to which the gym left me a voicemail in regards to me âmissingâ this meeting and if I can come in the same day. I have never been so hassled and harassed by a gym employee when I had made my boundaries clear. I hope corporate is aware how hard this manager is hussling guests to get a membership out of them. I believe his name is Arthur Thompson (name on the email). Also, I appreciate the thought of giving women a more private setting. But it speaks volume of how little the area is. Definitely something they should ease caution of discrimination...
