With a click of her tongue and a wink Vanessa told me off-hand I could leave a review, and then went back to the business of her mobile whilst leaning across the front desk. Ok Vanessa … Vanessa’s class I have now done twice. Both time she spent a a lot of time looking at her mobile phone trying to remember the modulated work out that she has to learn from head office. She is both rude and off hand. In short she is not worth turning up for.
The studio is 4 months young. The client facing staff are off-hand, argumentative and unhelpful. They believe their studio at this point is safe and “made it” . The reality is they have not even crossed the marker of a year of business. They seem to believe it is far better to loose perspective clients rather than try to maintain them and find resolution. Perhaps someone from head office should remind them that whilst being a franchise, they still work under the umbrella of the “yoga Joint” brand and that they are the the first point of contact and impression to the brand. It is the biggest turn off to have argumentative staff that need to prove they are right at all times. Further they take the stance that it is ok to up charge u with out disclosing that mats are an additional $5. They just give them to you as you are walking into the class and then changed you accordingly. Again whilst not being the greatest amount of money, it is just niggling in terms to studio practice.
In short please, please, please can someone from “Yoga Joint Corporate head office” send this difficult team of unprofessional and unseasoned on-the-ground-staff to some sort of training on client management, the core values of Yoga Joint and how to encourage perspective sales . They need it, as they are currently doing a total disservice to the company in every-way. Especially wit there being so many hot yoga business within the surround areas if mid town, Wynwood and the Design District. Food for...
Read moreBeing a person who loves and constantly attends yoga and pilates classes I can say that today I felt disappointed, I have been to this place twice, the first time I loved it so much that the second time I came with my mother so she could enjoy it (she, like me, are exercise lovers), however, from the moment we entered the service was not the best, I paid for two mats and two towels, I did not receive them as I expected (unfolded, taken out of a basket) feeling as if they gave me used ones. I understand that there is a lot of capacity of people, I have no problem with that but people took 4 or even more dumbbells, leaving only the heaviest ones that are 20 weight, which limited us to do many of the exercises, we did not feel comfortable so we only stayed 30 minutes of the class, when leaving I commented on the situation and they did not give me any answer, then outside the establishment there was another girl, she was kind but she answer me "I would have liked you to tell us because we have more weights stored in the back" when they should notify people before starting the class if they knew it would be full or be aware during the class and not when I was leaving disappointed and wanting to never return. They are prioritizing quantity...
Read moreI love this place . It’s so professional and the teachers are amazing! If you’re just starting in your work out or yoga journey this place is awesome . FIIT classes with Erika are super good, she is top notch, I always leave feeling that I challenged myself and those muscles are going to burn!
Update : after two years of coming to this place , it is not longer the same . Classes are just not the quality you would expect from a yoga studio. People are on their phones texting , recording etc . Also people are using essentials oils and with a sauna on you can literally taste it. The towels smells so horrible, it’s just the the environment and the care is no longer the same and I would definitely not recommend anyone here who is serious about doing yoga or have any respect for yoga at all. I walked out of two classes for the same issue happening and I’m going to make sure that I share this on social media...
