Winter is upon us and here everyone can be active and dry. This was such a fun day. We took our neighbor's granddaughter with the use of all pass from the New Berlin Public Library. But Betty Brinn also has a free night Thursday sponsored by Northwestern Mutual Life. There were so many activities to do this three-year-old never got bored and neither did the 80 year old. It's set up so conveniently for people who would use Walkers or wheelchairs or motor scooters. It also has a picnic area along with the ability to purchase Foods dinner healthy and prepared by Sendik's another contributor to the Brady Brim. They feature a full City with a bank a TV station post office real estate office construction of building a new house re-roofing and so many other valuable life skills and that was just the first area. The next area was all about communication and then the next year I hear you're after that it's about science and the periodic table. The center is very clean well-maintained I'm very helpful staff walking the floor from to assist you. Admission

Read moreGreat place for young kids with plenty to keep them busy. Great location for exploring the downtown area - right along the avenue! From the interactive bug education outdoor patio area there is a beautiful view of the lake and Callatrava at the Milwaukee Art Museum. It's on the bus line, so you can save time and money finding parking.
Interactive, educational and of course, FUN! Brought my nephew here and had a few hours of fun and learning for under $20. There was also a play area for very young/toddlers to play - we didn't check out that area since he's not in the age/size range.
The current changing exhibit was all Mr. Potato Head. There was a station with every imaginable part, even star wars themed items, to create your own Mr. (or Miss) Potato Head. There was also a space station and archeological dig area in the Potato Head section.
One area has a town that the kids can run! Complete with a post office, car repair shop, bank, and even a grocery store where kids can explore their passions as they learn. Everything is set up so kids can work together in whichever role they choose. They can be a bank teller, "repair" a car, deliver mail, grocery shop or take a relaxing ride on their Harley.
You must have a child with you to visit. There is a number you can contact if there is any special arrangements that may need to be requested for an adult that is not with a child. I assume it's for everyone's safety.
There are plenty of seats for adults with great views of all the action. I never once lost sight of my little ward but was still able to give him the space to explore.

Read moreNot nearly as fun or 'amazing' as it is hyped to be. Even my 6 year old was getting quite bored within 45 min. I guess I expected something more like Chicago's Museum of Science & Industry, but for kids... And it was nowhere close to that at all. Hands on things were not well explained (or even found any written directions) and never saw an employee near any "exhibit" teaching anything! Only employees seen we're in gift shop and cleanup crew after birthday party. AND IN THE PARTY ROOM, the Carpet was FILTHY, appeared as if maybe only had 1 cursory vacuuming in over a week! They have carpeted large steps for seating (they run the entire width of the room, and maybe 2.5' deep, 8-10" height, maybe 10 levels) for watching a projected movie in the party room, and as I was sitting there, not only did my hands pick up black marks from carpet not being cleaned, I found a PILL laying on the steps/seats that was ALSO dirty and seemed to have been there a while! This was someone's medication that ANY child could have found! I gave it too the cleaning crew, explained where I found it, they said they'd "try to be more careful" (?!?!?) Plus, cleaning crew only had brooms, not even a carpet sweeper, much less a vacuum in hand, AND didn't go get one or page for one to be sent up even when I showed them how the entire length of corners along the step/seats, the L where it starts upward to the next level. Those angled parts were filled with sm. bits of trash, hair, food, oh, and pills apparently! Party and exhibits we're only good bc of the...
