St. Anthony Falls Visitor Center — Attraction in Minneapolis

My husband and I visited the lock and dam Visitor's Center as part of Doors Open Minneapolis. The outdoor catwalk, which is usually closed to visitors, was open for the event. We could feel the spray from the falls and had access to photograph from heretofore unknown angles. Highly recommend as the power of the falls inspire awe. I visited the lock & dam to see "Surface” by Aaron Dysart, a spectacular light show and it was awesome--put on by Northern Spark. Light show or no, the locks are amazing! It's an interesting lesson on engineering and the history of the city. The ranger was awesome and took us out on the lock, even though there was loud work being done. The junior ranger program was good for the size of the sight and even has a special badge. There was an entomologist on site and she answered all our questions for quite sometime.
