What can I say other than how much fun it is to be here. The drinks are fair, the music is in good taste, and they host many events. Things like Softball meetups and the like. They even host a furry rave-like party every few Saturdays. Its events like this that keep things interesting enough to return. If not for the good vibes then for the verity. Besides the events there are three places to hangout: The typical bar with a TV and a few booths is great for a traditional gay bar, whilst on the other side of the main wall is another bar paired with a dancefloor. Complete with projectors, lights, and a DJ booth, this is where I find myself spending the most time. Of course there is also a big smoking/vaping lounge outside, complete with a small heated shack and tables for the cold weather. Only reason for 4 stars is a particular bouncer who I've run into more then once who's clearly a stick in the mud (no pun intended) Otherwise this...
Read moreLast night was my second visit and once I got past the whole waiting in line to order (this seems to be a Minnesota thing - polite, but not efficient), I realized that I enjoyed this place quite a bit.
Waiting in line for ten minutes to order is uncomfortable for individuals with chronic pain and invisible disabilities, and it renders all of the bar seating unavailable.
I would much rather grab a seat and wait my turn like any other bar in any other city. Otherwise, once I got used to it, it wasn't as bad.
The bartenders were polite and friendly, although it seems like you open your tab with an individual bartender and not the bar as a whole? I just gave the second bartender a different card.
Overall, the drink prices are reasonable and quite strong, and I felt like I had a good experience without spending too much, and would like to come more often.
The show tunes were especially my style, and I'll have to visit the patio on a...
Read moreCame in last night with my parents(mom n dad), super excited to bring them to an LGBTQ bar, just for us to get the straight treatment… I peeped it right as I walked up to the bar, the bartender shifted his energy to happy and friendly to “what an inconvenience these guys are” n “what do u want” type vibe. I’m straight passing so it wouldn’t have bothered be but the fact that that’s genuinely how they would treat my parents absolutely did not sit right w me. The older bartender with a beard then proceeded to pour us the weakest drinks i have ever had and i don’t even drink lol. It was giving we want you guys to leave without actually saying we want you to leave, but then asked us if we wanted another round too, like absolutely not lol. Don’t waste your money or time on an establishment that promotes welcoming everyone and then doesn’t. As a gay, I’m highly embarrassed and disappointed by this place representing us. Do...
