BE AWARE - they add a 20% tip to all bills no matter how many people are in your party. Farmers Kitchen sounds good in concept but it doesn’t live up to what they promise. The restaurant is really small and there isn’t a natural spot where you can “checkin” for your reservation or to get a table. There seems to be a lot of staff but everyone seemed very stressed and rushed. Everyone was very friendly. We did the cheese platter - lots of wheat bread triangles but no crackers or crusty bread. Some of the cheese there was only enough for one person to try. I had the Fern+Dale Sandwich, it was ok. The jam on the bottom made the bread soggy. I also had the wild rice soup with my sandwich, I found that this was really lacking flavor. It was very bland, maybe it’s because I’m used to chicken in it, but I don’t know, I only ate a few spoonfuls. My husband had the short rib sandwich. He said the meat was very good but really heavy on horseradish. He had the jo Jo’s with his sandwich, and those were good. My friend had the grilled cheese with ham. Unfortunately the sandwich was soggy not crispy. My other friend had the schnitzel sandwich, which again she said the pork was good but the sandwich tasted like it was missing something. The chips are corn tortilla chips which were ok. I think it has the potential for being really good but right now it misses the mark. I give people a pass right now because places seem to be short staffed, but we didn’t get a lot of help - I was just drinking water and no one came around to fill until we were almost done eating. They brought our CC slip to sign and no pen. Cost, we had a party of four, the cheese plate and 3 alcoholic drinks - total tab with the 20% tip they added was $166, which for 4 sandwiches and chips...
Read moreMade online reservation and ended up arriving about 45 minutes early. Upon checking in, asked if we could sit at the bar to have a drink. Was told he would ask if that was ok. Never heard anything back. After watching the bar and people eating there, came to the conclusion that only diners were being served there…no casual drinking during this time. If that’s the case, then tell us. Don’t just leave us hanging in a crowded waiting area that is basically filled with two large coolers that could be arranged differently. After being seated, a bartender came to take our drink order. Since we already knew what we wanted to eat, we gave her that order as well. After a couple minutes she came back to say only one of the dishes was available and we should choose another. While looking at the menu she came back to say they had found more and our order was ok. What was odd was that our dishes came out 5-10 minutes later. She came back once more to see if everything was ok and that was it. Half an hour later her shift was over and she was out the door. Nobody came to see us again. Had to ask for our bill and to have our dishes removed. Upon receiving the bill and the automatic 20% gratuity added we had to laugh at the absurdity of everything so far. Card under the bill stating that staff receive full pay for their shifts. Really? You just proved that they don’t work hard to earn any extra since it’s already given to them. We did hear other patrons asking for their bills, looking around for staff and also looking confusingly at their bills and the added gratuity. Communication is definitely not a strong point there. Not sure we want to return to your establishment again…even though the...

Service at the Farmer’s Kitchen is absolutely terrible. My husband & I sat at the bar early afternoon when there were barely any customers in the restaurant-couple tables plus us at the bar.
The bartender gave us waters & took a bit to take our orders. We only ordered an app, so we got it fairly quickly. A cheese tray, it’d have been nice to get flatware to spread the lingonberry & honey with but whatever.
The female, darker skinned curly haired gal, returned with cotton candy, seemingly excited to show off a new Easter cocktail in the works, was preoccupied with the creation of said drink-distracted the rest of her staff thus taking the attention from her diners. For a good chunk of time, the duo plus their staff were making & tasting this cotton tail whatever drink they were making-basically holding up a giant Pick Me sign up.
I had to ask for my chai, which the bartender (long haired red headed bearded gent) had to go coax out of the barista who had forgotten to make it-probably cause she was distracted chatting with the other barista.
As I type this review now, the dynamic duo of bartenders (with a now fuller restaurant) still ignores us as I’ve kindly stacked our plates & I’ve asked for our tab).
The only server I noticed here who I say deserves recognition, is a red headed gal who wore a black headband this day, with a brown corduroy skirt & black top. She didn’t pay any attention to her distracted peers & did her duties & paid attention to her table.
& the fact that the curly haired bartender didn’t wash her hands balling up the cotton candy-gag. That’s going in your Easter cocktail folks....
