I found a accent drink table at Myrtle Beach World Market today and was excited to pay at the register, while waiting in line, a male employee from the store came up to me saying that I canât buy this table. Surprised, I asked for the reason that why I canât purchase this item. He replied it is a store display and they donât sell store display. I replied no problem then can I order one that is not a store display, the employee said this item is out of order and estimated stock time is March 15th and I said thatâs fine with me, and he told me that he can only put me on the waiting list since the company donât know when or ever they will get more of this item and even Sumiter location has an extra one for sell that is not a store display but World Market doesnât do item transfer from its stores in other locations. The employee told me the reason they donât sell a store display is to use it to advertise and attract more customers to buy. I replied I understand the marketing and the tricks here, but you donât actually have the supply to meet the demand in this case, you can have 200 people wants to buy this but only to be put on an endless waiting list and with no products then customers will get mad, this is not how to do business, so why not sell the store display to make customer happy and when products are actually back in stock then get a new store display, this way you are actually selling something you have. The employeeâs reply was No. So I put down the rest of the items that I was going to buy and left the store.
No worries, World Market! You donât appreciate a customer, HomeGoods will. Left World Market and drove to HomeGoods, found the almost same item but with even better design upgrade and for $50 cheaper. HomeGoodsâ employee even offered to transfer another one for me from another location if I need a second one to match. By the way also bought another wood accent table from HomeGoods for $99.99 yesterday and saw the same thing at World Market today for $169.99.

Read moreOMGEEEE! When I tell you that the staff there, (mainly Betty & Julia!) Were AWESOME! I'm in San Diego, and I was planning a scavenger hunt for my fiance's birthday. I ordered things from the website, but had a few hiccups. I called the store, got Betty on the line to tell her what was happening to me online, & what I was planning. She eased my mind & told me that as soon as the order came through, she would put it all together for me! đ
The day of his Birthday, the basket I ordered was waaay too small, I called again, and got Julia. In a panic, I didn't know what to do, but Julia suggested to just buy a bigger basket, once she sees the order, she will finish working on his gift basket!đ¤ I'm telling you, the customer service from these two was BAR NONE! I want to personally Thank these two wonderful ladies for helping me make my Love's Birthday special!đ And he Thanks you guy's as well!
When I come to visit, I will definitely come in to personally meet & Thank you, two!

Read moreI purchased these bowls from World Market a year or two ago and have never had any issues using them in the dishwasher or microwaveâuntil recently. I was making dinner for my daughter the other night when I heard a loud noise coming from the microwave. When I opened the door, I was shocked to see the bowl had essentially shattered, but the pieces were still holding together.
Iâve always trusted the âmicrowave-safeâ label, but clearly, thereâs a problem here. Why am I buying products that claim to be microwave-safe only to have them break in such a dangerous way? This is both frustrating and concerningâwhat if it had completely fallen apart and caused injury?
Iâve attached photos for reference. Iâd really appreciate some explanation or resolution, as I no longer feel confident using...
