Dutch Alley Artist's Co-op — Attraction in New Orleans

My partner and I visited this co-op the other day, and had a wonderful time! The artists present were lovely and very attentive, answering all of our questions and offering depth and insight regarding the Artists and their artwork.

Pat in particular was extremely welcoming and knowledgable, although honestly everyone there at the time was very supportive and helpful. They even have what my partner refers to as a "husband bench" - a place for him to sit and rest while I took three times at long as he did to appreciate the art 😂

This co-op had a huge variety in the artists, mediums, and art offered up; there is something for everyone! Before coming to New Orleans, I never knew this City would be such a cradle for creativity. Dutch Alley is a wonderful conglomeration of local artists that features a wide array of mediums. My personal favorite is a local artist by the name of Nick Connor. Nick uses local woods to create vases, figurines and instruments. Nick also creates very detailed ink portraits of famed musicians, authors, poets and cultural icons. Great place to browse ethically sourced and reasonably-priced art in a variety of forms. Even if you only want to spend twenty bucks, you can find a variety of things to choose from here. The Quarter is teeming with cheap art, sure, but at least by coming here you don't have to worry about buying the mass reproduced and stolen works you may have come across from the folks peddaling prints on every corner.
