Avant Gallery — Attraction in New York

The gentleman who ran the shop put his hand very rough on my one year old child, snatching it away as though he wasn’t a baby for touching a piece. Then when I confronted him and asked the gentleman in charge not to touch my son in a respectful manner , he kicked me out?? Very disrespectful for a person in charge. Not cool. And very unprofessional. I’m sure you guys don’t get a lot of visitors at that gallery and it’s most likely because of the gentleman with no people skills running the show....

Amazing location and a nice idea to set a gallery in a mall. It's free. But I didn't enjoy the exhibition. The art works are just so so. Only a few of them present a original and creative idea from the artist. Most of them are re-creation of master pieces and famous cartoons.

This is just my very personal opinion. Some of art works may not suitable for kids(not because of the nude figures but other reasons) If you have young kids with you, probably you should avoid to visit...

Forget all of the expensive tourist things you’d want to do. This is honestly the coolest and the cheapest experience you’ll have around the Vessel. By cheap, I mean it’s free!! It’s located in the vessel on the 4th floor and If you are the type of person who likes going to pop up museums (Museum of Sex, Color Factory), then this gallery is the place to be. You will enjoy the beautiful modern art and you’ll also love taking instagram...
