I just want to begin and say I really enjoy the drinks at this chain. The reason I rated this location so low was because of an experience I had with the cashier. Shorter girl, eye liner, no name tag and a pony tail brought to the front of herself - (happened on Tuesday October 10th at 5:20 pm ) was very rude and demeaning to me. I was ordering a drink and accidentally said brown sugar instead of just boba milk tea and quickly fixed what I said while saying sorry nicely as I had a long day at work and she kept repeating to me in a very rude tone “this doesn’t come with tea” then said at the end “Brown sugar tea doesn’t come with TEA”, and she soon realized I meant boba milk tea. Even my boyfriend agreed it was very rude. I never write reviews often but felt the need to for this because as someone who worked as a boba barista before and is still currently working in the customer service area there is zero reason to be that rude to someone. We are all people and I even said sorry when I realized I said brown sugar. After we paid she went on her phone and someone then came in line ready to order and she looked up and rolled her eyes when having to walk over. This experience made me not want to come back to this location as I live around here. Customer service member to customer service member, it takes more energy to be negative...
Read moreUpdate: Came here again recently. Cashier was nice, but I had hardly put away my wallet, when her colleague pointed to a cup of tea on the counter, next to another's, and said that was mine. I usually like to watch them make my order. Would recommend you do, because this tasted like someone just poured tea and milk over lukewarm Boba. No signature brown sugar marks on the inside of cup. Was in a rush, else would have brought it back. VERY disappointed. At close to $9, each drink should be carefully made. Keep an eye on your drink at this location. They took a sloppy shortcut to save time. It shouldn't be tolerated. --‐-------- I don't usually like Boba tea, but friends told me this place was different. Went here to the Hudson Yard location on a weekday afternoon - no line. And the young man at the counter was super nice and patient, explaining the options. I went with the Thai Boba tea, because it had the brown sugar component - but would not be as super sweet as their signature Brown Sugar Boba - and gosh, I really enjoyed it! Was delicious! The Boba were flavorful and had just a perfect texture and light chew. Even the little ice cubes were unique with little indentations that the Boba could sit in, but surprisingly not get stuck in! I get the hype. It...
Read moreXing Fu Tang is a Taiwanese Boba franchise that serves a variety of boba's with their brown sugar being the stand out. I drank a Brown Sugar Milk with brown sugar, taro, and honey boba, a sweet, creamy drink with bits of burnt brown sugar. I also tried their strawberry boba in their Jasmine Green Tea with Honey Comb, citrus that complements the slight bitterness of green tea with bits of honey comb. their brown sugar is especially soft, has a slight chew with a molasses taste and is always warmed, my mom says it is the best boba she has drank. The strawberry boba tastes like a candy called Percy Pig, it has a smooth softness and satisfying chew. The honey and taro are not bad, slight honey tasting sweetness, both are chewy with some of them being firmer, the taro has a nutty taste but I would not recommend them over the brown sugar or strawberry bobas. Overall, I wish I could've tried more of their drinks so the next time I see a Xing Fu Tang I will make sure to fulfill that, I definitely would check out this boba if you're...
