Serbian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Sava — Attraction in New York

My only experience was in 2008, when I was inquiring into the Orthodox Church. At the time, I was taking catechism classes at a Russian church and happened to be walking around Manhattan after shopping. The Church in 2008 was very beautiful and magnificent. As I was admiring the church, and older man approached me asking me if I was Serb. I told him, "no I am not". He told me in broken english, "church is for serb only, go". I left, and with that, I never looked into Eastern...

Looks stunning,but I saw it just from the outside...The church was closed,due to some reconstruction i guess. Couldn't find notifications on opening hours or alternative entrance,just fences,and beautiful Gothic church...
