We walked the high line early in the morning before the crowds arrived. It's a very good walk with the well kept shrubbery which gives the city a different perspective. Locals use it as well for running and having their lunch. It's a credit to the city. There are a few high end shops and restaurants that you can stop at on the lower streets. It was good to see a couple of the old meat markets still...

Whenever I'm in NYC, I always try to take a walk on The High Line. It's about 1 1/2 miles long running from between The Javits Center and The Vessel to near The Whitney Museum. The flowers and plants are very well maintained spring thru fall and make some parts of the walk seem more like a park. There are many places to sit along the trail along with many ramps/steps to access the...

Beautiful views and a nice level walking path that really gives you a unique perspective on Manhattan and the river. Great time walking along the High Line. If you like walking around with fresh air and a garden feel this is the best place in the city to visit. Not to mention that you have multiple places to exit and visit even more of the city. We stopped by Chelsea Market as well
