Prior to going I had viewed their social media pages and was blown away by some of the posts showcasing all the amazing larger than life Artwork! However, nothing beats seeing it in person…as they say seeing is believing! The museum/galley has so many captivating works of Art to immerse yourselves into!

I love costumes and I was thrilled to be able to put on butterfly wings (love me some butterflies) and also got the bee antennae that I placed on my head as I explored the IMAGINARI Museum that highlights the wonders of the insect world through Art, Film and Immersive Moments.

It is a place for all ages…not just for children but Adults and the young at heart who have an appreciation for great Art will be enamored by the place. Learning the background story re its inception made it even more special having supported their vision that became a reality in April of this year! Another amazing aspect of the gallery/museum is it showcases local Artists/Manufacturers as well. I met Alex from NY Bags who takes New York’s finest “trash” and transforms it into textile and create beautiful bags from it! How phenomenal is that! As I said to Alex as the saying goes “one man’s trash, is another man’s treasure”. Make sure to grab your bag as well if you do! After you explore the museum/gallery you can purchase memorabilia. I meant to get the bee broche so now I have another reason to go back in addition to just having a fun time!

Also the team is amazing from Linda one of the partners to Jen and Christian. They were all professional and very accommodating which made the experience even more memorable! Great assets to IMAGINARI…and Jen your earrings were to die for! :) I’m coming back for those too lol fitted in perfectly with the theme!

Anyway I Don’t want to go into any more details and spoil it for you so you’ll just have to go and experience it for yourself! Traveling by train the A/C, 1 are closest depending on your starting point and via car it’s also near the Holland Tunnel so no excuses to not travel from outside of the New York area and make this one of your stops! And if you live in and around the area or any of the boroughs check it out! Kudos to all the Artists for this Larger than Life Experience! IMAGINARI a...

My wife and I visited Imaginari and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Beginning with courteous and knowledgeable staff members, the museum was a delight. The artful tableaux of many different species of insects was extremely well done. The narrative plaque at each exhibit thoroughly explained the species and its role in the broader ecosystem. The screening room presented breathtaking enlarged photos of many different insects including spiders, caterpillars, beetles and others. The detail, especially of the head and multiple or compound eyes, was extraordinary. All in all, we highly recommend Imaginari. We only regret that it was not longer, as we didn’t want to leave! Thomas and Marianne...

What a delightful space and exhibit! I took my young daughters here to help kick a distaste for bugs, and we had a wonderful time. This is the perfect size exhibit that is well curated and strikes the ideal balance between fun and educational. I found the staff to be extremely warm and welcoming. Would...

Today I went to Imaginari for the first time. It was an awesome experience. I really appreciated the art pieces from native New Yorkers. Reading their stories was impactful. Not too busy and multiple pieces to look at. Definitely plan to revisit!
