TLDR: If you're looking to have any kind of procedure done, Dr. Jimmy Sung is your guy. Humble, down-to-earth, and incredibly generous with his time, Dr. Sung and his team will care for you as if you were his own family.

Full story: The day of my initial consult, I woke up with a terrible allergic reaction and was so upset, given that most doctor's offices have a strict 24 hour cancellation period (as in, you get charged for the full visit if you don't cancel within that time frame). I walked into the clinic and Yvonne, the office manager, took one look at me and told me it would be absolutely no problem for me to reschedule and in fact, the doctor wouldn't be able to assess me properly without doing so.

Fast forward to my second visit, Dr. Sung spent an hour of his time (when was the last time a doc spent more than 15 minutes with you?!), educating me on everything from the details of how every procedure is performed, to things I never even knew about my own face. I was so impressed that he could tell based on someone's bone structure what their ancestral origins are, and therefore what their most natural look would be post refinement.

Despite his obvious skill and knowledge, I figured it's always a good idea to talk to different doctors to find the best fit. I went to consults with three other well-advertised surgeons in Manhattan, none of whom seemed as genuinely interested in me as a human (and not just $$$) as Dr. Sung. I had mostly made up my mind, but was still a little anxious about my procedure and achieving the barely-noticeable results I wanted. The lovely Yvonne scheduled me for yet another consult to discuss any questions I had with Dr. Sung - without charging me again (mindblown). He was so gracious with his time yet again and, to help allay my fears, actually allowed me to see (with their consent) a couple post-op patients and their before/after results. I. Was. Blown. Away. The patients had such amazing results and were all soooo happy!! That sealed the deal for me, and I finally went for the procedure I had been wanting to do since I was 13 years old but had always been too afraid someone might mess up and make me look worse - because, let's be real, a botched plastic surgery job is always worse than anything natural!

I'm now writing this still early in the recovery phase, and am thrilled with my results so far. I returned to work within 10 days of my procedure, and not one person has been able to tell that I had anything done (which is exactly what I wanted). I had the most incredible experience visiting Dr. Sung's medical practice. Not only are his methods extremely innovative and yield incredible results, but he is truly the most caring and involved doctor I have ever met in his field. I often feel rushed and slightly overwhelmed by the prices and list of procedures in most offices of this kind, but really truly Dr. Sung patiently walked me through the ins and outs of each procedure and weighed in with his expert medical advice to answer any and all the questions I have always wanted to ask. Additionally, Dr. Sung and his whole team were extremely thorough in getting to know my skin, routine, heritage and medical history. We used innovative softwares and programs to yield information I didn't imagine was even possible in such a quick visit (and at such a reasonable price). The results truly speak for themselves, though you'll have to take my word for it. The moment Dr. Sung showed me the mirror after he had finished his work I was blushing. We really didn't do much, he uses such minimal adjustments to make the slight changes but wow is he gifted in making them. For years I have had doctors doing the same procedure to inject my nose filler and in the passed I thought I was quite happy with the results, however I now feel like none of those doctors ever took the time to look at me. Dr. Sung was very quick to the realization that the traditional method of doing this filler would only fix part of my problem while making other insecurities more prevalent, he patiently walked me through alternative ways to inject the filler and I quickly agreed to try his way because his explanation made perfect sense (especially when considering my ethnic background, something no other doctor ever inquired about). He used a method no doctor had ever even mentioned in front of me and the results are phenomenal. Dr. Sung is an exceptional physician who is kind, personable, and highly talented. I have been coming to Dr. Sung for about two years now, and he is by far the best doctor in NYC. I can honestly say that I would recommend this doctor to all of my friends and family members. My initial goal for going to Dr. Sung was to improve the overall health of my skin. I had quite a bit of sun damage and was hopeful that Dr. Sung could help me improve my overall complexion (and he exceeded my expectations). Over the past two years, I have seen my skin texture transform from dull and lifeless to youthful and vibrant. Dr. Sung has helped me regain self-confidence- I no longer need to wear makeup (just sunscreen), as I am happy to embrace a more natural look.

Dr. Sung is everything you want and need in a doctor- he is warm, precise, and a perfectionist. Dr. Sung has always treated me with the utmost respect- he goes above and beyond to ensure I am comfortable at my appointments, and his office staff is pleasant and attentive. The office is immaculate, and he has a state-of-the-art operating room at this location- which is pretty rare in NYC.

It is worth noting that Dr. Sung never tries to upsell unnecessary procedures like many other physicians in NYC. As a patient, I am appreciative of Dr. Sung’s knowledge and transparency when it comes to explaining different practices. I love that he is always willing to pull up research regarding various procedures- this information is so helpful for patients who are not as knowledgeable about the maintenance or long-term benefits of the different techniques. I recently tried the BBL Hero skin treatment, and my skin looks fantastic! I am so grateful for this doctor, and I would never consider going anywhere else. It is also worth noting that this is the only doctor I felt was worth writing a review for.
