Service Order taker at window appeared to be having a miserable day. Mind you, it was very cold outside so perhaps that was contributing to it? She was very short (kept asking anything else after everything single thing we said) and clearly annoyed with customers. We ordered two beverages, a bowl and a sandwich which took them 30 minutes. I had to get up and ask about our order as several other customers after us had already been served and left. After asking, they promptly brought out our food.
Food/beverages I ordered a dirty chai. Is was decent. It mostly tasted like a latte with A LOT of cinnamon (see pic). My partner ordered their pink lemonade. It tasted like strong rose water with a ton of lemon. He ordered the sandwich and said it was very good. We noticed most people were ordering their sandwiches so this is probably your best bet if you’re going to try it out. I ordered the coconut curry bowl and this was probably the biggest disappointment of the whole visit. It had nearly no flavor. The rice and veggies were all very well prepared. It was just unfortunately...
Read moreI really hate giving a bad review since it might hurt a small business which I support but I felt the need to write this review since the barista was extremely rude. At first I asked if they can do a matcha latte, the barista rolling her eyes said “ya”. You could tell she wasn’t in the mood to answer my questions or serve me. I specifically asked for almond milk since I am lactose intolerant. She proceeded to make my matcha latte with regular milk. As she was poring the regular milk I asked mentioned to her that I asked for almond. She said “too bad you did not specify if you want almond milk you will have to order another latte”. This isn’t a way to treat customers. She had a really bad attitude from the start and didn’t want to be there. If you don’t want to hurt your business you should looking into changing the people who work for you because they represent...
Read moreOne of the best sandwiches I’ve had in ages!! The avocado, labneh, za’atar (add an egg) is the perfect combination of creamy richness and tangy sumptuousness, with a kiss of herbs and packaged between the crispy chewy perfection of their homemade Lebanese bread (think focaccia with a crispy airy lightness). The slightest glisten of top notch olive oil completes this heavenly sandwich experience. I was distraught when I couldn’t get Salty’s sandwiches anymore (they closed), but I must say this sandwich has the same level of complex flavors and textures... so deeply satisfying. And the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, a nice place to linger. Very sweet, charming staff (and great music choices)!
They also make all their own pastries and the coffee is excellent! So, there are many excuses to...
