As a massage therapist in the area, I always refer my clients to Noir Yoga to support their mobility and recovery — and I finally took my own advice and booked a 7AM class. The space is clean and calming, the flow was intentional and energizing, and the instructor offered options for every level — truly beginner-friendly and challenging for those who want more. I came in with intense back and hip pain from work and left feeling lighter, more open, and with real relief that felt like it would last. I signed up for the monthly membership right after — it’s shockingly affordable for the quality of instruction and experience. Honestly, it’s a steal. If you’re looking to feel better in your body, manage pain, and actually support your long-term mobility, Noir is the place. I’ll definitely be back — often.

I had a great class at Noir Yoga with Martine. The flow was nice — not too slow or fast. Martine was very sweet and did a fantastic job making us feel welcomed, relaxed and encouraged. The studio is clean and cute, they seem to fit just the right number of students in so you don’t feel crammed but the space is used appropriately. It is currently *freezing* outside so I was worried it would be really cold during the class but they have plenty of heaters and the space warmed up to a comfortable temperature once nobody was opening and closing the door. I had a wonderful experience and can’t wait to go back for another class soon!

Dr. Mason led a captivating Noir Yoga session at Fort Greene Park, offering a beautiful flow that brought me into perfect alignment and serenity. I also attended the Yoga Teacher Summit at Noir Yoga Studio, where I joined an inspiring cohort of teachers from the New York Metro area. The summit was profoundly informative and soulful, providing a wonderful opportunity to form new friendships.

Last night I took a Flow class with Kayla, who happened to be subbing. It was EXACTLY what I needed after a stressful couple of weeks. A long-time practicioner of yoga, I am always looking to try out new instructors, as I believe each one of them brings their own personal flair, strengths, and knowledge of the ancient practice to the mat. Kayla was EXCEPTIONAL. I so appreciated her mindfulness and emphasis on the INTENTION needed when practicing yoga and flowing through poses. She talked us through each movement, at the perfect speed, and with grace and kindess.

I especially liked her way of guiding us through shavasana (my personal favorite part of a yoga class, as it really serves as an indicator of how much you left on the mat, and your state of renewal post-practice). When she instructed us to move into fetal position from corpse pose, she emphasized the beauty of transitioning between these poses, as it symbolizes that in life, we are always able to be born again and start anew.

I come to yoga to remind myself to be still, to cherish this body that allows me to move and flow from day to day. Last night's practice reminded me that I am but a soul existing within the vessel that is my body.

Noir Yoga really urges you to remember the purpose of the practice, and how important it is to make coming to the mat a priority. I can't...

This was such an amazing experience. I will be back and I highly/strongly recommend this yoga studio. The instructor (Vee) at Noir was vibrant, kind, gentle, intuitive and wise all in one. She was able to direct a full class with me as a beginner/intermediate yogi in a way that wanted me to be a part of this community. I have been to some that when I needed a break, the instructors directed you out the studio rather than assisting or allowing you to pause. All of that with a prompt and signals that if you did not need assistance or physical touch, you could let her know and still practice but in your own safe space. The music flowed as well as the energy/vibes, acceptance, wisdom of poses and posture and the slight, but gentle push to allow yourself to get to another level while connecting to your breath. I thank the studio for allowing me to find a place I would like to call my yoga home. Don’t hesitate to...

Definitely one of my favorite yoga places thus far and I’ve tried them all. Nyasia had recommended me to try yin on saturdays, I told her I was having a problem holding the poses. I tried yin yesterday with Vee and absolutely loved it. It helped me so much with my flexibility for today. All of the instructors here are super super patient and accommodating. They really encourage you to show up and be mindful of your body and your limitations. They also encourage you to try new things so you never feel like you’re stagnant. I come here feeling stressed and I leave feeling like a new person. The classes not only do something for me physically but mentally they release a stress for me that nothing else currently in my life is doing. I love that I found a yoga studio that is warm and inviting, I have never had a bad...
