I just went back again and everything went smoothly. The first time it was the Receptionists 3woman worked and only one was very polite the other two had a control issue/complex or a power move, them 2 was very disrespectful but this one woman was so polite so caring and so understanding. They told me to go home bcuz I didn't have a appt/surgery but I knew I did. This woman was so kind and said to call you Dr. I did and they came down stairs with vengeance but professionalism be cuz I told them what had happened. After the Dr talked to them the very nice woman came and did my chart. I told her I would shout her out but she didn't want that I told her that I want ur boss 2 give you a raise. I was watching the other woman and they was nasty2 all the other people in the waiting room. She remained professional and very caring. I went back because of her in a way I wish I remembered her name so I can give the biggest shout out to her but I did say once I get home I will post and she said she will be looking. One/Two bad apple will not mess it up for the bunch. Also the Dr's was understanding that I was scared for the surgery, they had to come me down. Read moreThere is this female receptionist at the front desk that has bad phone manners when talking on the phone. I called to cancel an appointment for my mother because my mother cannot make it to her appointment and this female receptionist refused to reschedule my mother and gave me an ear full about how its the care of my Mother not even knowing what the appointment was for. She just assumed that I am intentionally just canceling the appointment . Now whether my Mother canceled it herself or not is NOT HER BUSINESS!!!! I am a healthcare professional and i do not need a desk receptionist going out of boundaries telling me what to do. She refused to give me a date for reappointment and told me she would ask Dr. Yin but neve got back to me. I HAD TO GO THROUGH THE APP AND COMMUNICATE WITH DR YIN TO ASK FOR A NEW DATE FOR APPOINTMENT. UNBELIEVABLE !! She should not be working for Northwell Health Labs. Read moreI came here for the 1 hour glucose test and was lucky to have a competent phlebotomist draw my blood.
Unfortunately my 3 hour gluclose test was not the same experience. The first 3 blood draws were done by the front desk person. She was able to find a vein each time (mine are not easy to find) but was very callouse when inserting the needle. I knew immediately I was going to bruise and I was bleeding 1 hour after the draw. I told her this and she said "that is impossible" until I showed her blood still trickling from my arm.
My last blood draw was even worse when someone else stepped in but was very inexperienced and could not find a vein, fishing for it in my skin and then blaming me for dehydration (even though you cannot drink anything, even water, for the 3 hour test). She tried to tell me I needed to come back and redo the rest and I said there is no way in hell I am doing this again. Thankfully I was able to find a vein for her and got the last blood draw.
