Run! Don’t walk to see this kind and experienced surgeon. Dr. Lefkovits performed a few surgeries and one procedure on me this past year. I am really thrilled with the results.
Everything Dr L told me before and after the surgeries basically came to fruition. One of the best thing about him is how you can speak freely and openly about your surgery. You can even gently push back about any issues, problems, inquires or doubts you may have.
The biggest thing for me was getting a natural result. That is what he strives for consistently. I loved that we were on the same page almost all the time. Definitely ask a lot of questions even if you think they may be silly or unimportant.
Dr. L is very receptive to it all. But I think I annoyed him a little with all my questions. Sometimes I played devil’s advocate with him. He was so good about it. It wasn’t his fault it was me and my silly ego and vanity getting a little out of hand.
Will you have perfect results and look flawless after your surgery with him? Maybe but the biggest thing is the natural result that he will likely deliver. I love that saying, “the perfect is the enemy of the good.”
I think he made me look better and now I feel a little better about myself. But I’m not perfect. I looked refreshed and a tad younger maybe.
Dr L is very good and professional at what he does. His staff is terrific too. His wife, Sophie, is so sweet and assists in the surgeries as well. She’s very reassuring and a nice calming presence. His office assistant, Pearl, is a doll. She will guide you through all the logistics: clearance forms; prescriptions; and billing.
And I can’t forget the spectacular anesthesiologists. They were both very warm and caring. Like I told them: you are the true lifeguards. No disrespect to beach lifeguards at all lol! Maybe not better but different. And of course so important for any GA surgery you may have.
Also Dr Lefkovits has reasonable rates and will work with you with any pay-over-time options if you need it (I did lol).
He’s just a really good, quality person who wants the very best for his patients. He uses the latest techniques. His suture work is wonderful. My surgical wounds are healing so fast and are very discreet.
So why not four stars you say? Well somebody told me years ago that there’s always room for improvement. And again nobody is perfect. I know I’m getting too cute by half here and being a bit of a wise guy.
Rest assured though Dr Lefkovits will take care of you and deliver what he says he will. There are no surprises, tricks or shortcuts. He is a true mensch of a guy.
It’s even a lot of fun talking to him about subjects unrelated to surgery. I have had some nice laughs and great conversations with everyone in his office.
Thanks again Dr. L. Keep up...
Read moreI would like to start off by saying that I am happy I found Dr. Lefkovits. Being in the military serving three tours in Iraq and getting injured I was no longer able to workout as I wanted to. I'm limited to working out and lifting so I wanted to get my stomach a little more defined and also touch up the sides " love handles ". Everything was great from my first day of evaluation to the surgery and the follow-ups after surgery.
On the day of my evaluation his staff welcomed me in a nice office with very relaxing music. They answered all my questions and were able to accommodate me into their schedule for my procedure in a very timely manner without waiting months. I met Dr. Lefkovits that day and he listened to what I wanted and with his expert knowledge of the procedure he guided and advised me what would be best for me. We both shared ideas and he fully went over in details about the procedure.
On the day of the procedure everything went as planned and before I knew it I was ready to go. I went in and his medical staff was ready for me. I noticed his team were very professional and always were asking me questions to make sure I was good to go. Dr. Lefkovits walked in a checked in with me before the procedure. Before I knew it I woke up and everything was done. His staff explained me in detail all the post-procedure care that I needed and made proper arrangements for my ride home.
Four weeks passed and my first follow-up appointment came up and I got to see Dr. Lefkovits. I noticed that everything I wanted was done and I was very happy at that point. We took some pictures to see before and after and was told to comeback in another four weeks. Second follow-up appointment came up and we took more pictures and I'm completely satisfied with his work.
I'm very thankful of finding Dr. Lefkovits because I felt that it wasn't a doctor-patient relationship as sometimes I've experienced in the past but this time it was more as friends because of how comfortable he made me feel since day one to my last appointment. He's a very professional Doctor who pays attention to details and listens to his patients. I am sure that in the future if I need another touch-up for something else I wouldn't think twice of reaching out to him.
Thank you...
Read moreI have had multiple invasive cosmetic procedures by surgeons in NYC with excellent results; my skin is resilient and heals very quickly, with most scars disappearing within 3 to 18 months months. However my experience with Dr Leftekis is a sad exception. Each time he met me, he was well mannered but also hurrying to move on to the next patient; the booking is very tight and he goes very fast over questions and explanations. What is truly problematic is that he also hurries at the time of the procedure. I was dumbfounded by the speed at which he drew the markings on my body.I didnt even have time to react; soon I was anesthetized and out. Post-surgery I confirmed the sloppiness of the markings and the cut as well. The scar is in fact asymmetric, (higher on one side) and still very thick and red, a year after surgery. The lipo was also uneven and I had to go for a second intervention to correct it, yet bumpiness on my abdominal area remain, even though I follow all post-op recommendations (massages et al). He admitted this error, but gaslighted me about the asymmetry of the line and the "inevitable" thickness of the wound (right now, 12 months into it, some areas of the wound are 6mm wide, and 3cm long, red), it looks braided instead of neatly stitched. The equipment in his offices and operating room is very aged and lacked hygiene. When I was there for the second intervention (corrective, local anesthesia only) I saw small spots on the nearby wall of the Operating Room that seemed dry blood. Additionally, some of the staff at the office are very antagonistic, creating an unpleasant climate. I should have researched him more rather than going by one person's opinion (she also needed a second corrective intervention eventually; I wonder how often he has to do this for his clients); I would not go under his knife again, not even "gratis". Beware. This is not a...
