2 Kids Candy Store — Attraction in Newport

Absolutely the best fudge in Oregon. Two Scandinavian women take pride and delight in hand dipping crispy green apples in melted caramel and then adding a variety of mouth watering toppings. Caramel apples made the way they are at 2 Kids Candy Store is rare indeed. Back to that mouth watering fudge. Honestly other than grandma's secret recipe there is nothing like it. Smooth, creamy, marshmallow tasting. Fudge melts in your mouth and makes you weak in your knees. The women responsible for the velvety delight infuse their fudge with fun and love. You can find flavors like birthday cake or chocolate caramel, to old fashioned chocolate. There is strawberry shortcake, raspberry cream, boston cream, and so many more. I recommend the 6 pack, buy early and eat because you will be back for more. They make caramel corn. Cheese corn, lots of chocolates, truffles and hand dipped delights such as double stuffed Oreos or giant peanut butter cups. There are rows and rows of salt water taffy, and old fashioned licorice and penny candies sold by the pound. They have a wall of jelly belly and more. 2 Kids Candy store is always fun to visit when we are in Newport. They offer a large array of products in this candy store from decadent chocolates, homemade fudge, and taffy to freshly popped popcorn in three different flavors. There are several nostalgic treats available to as well. The prices are a little steep on some of the products, but the treats are amazing.

I highly recommend grabbing a bag of buttered popcorn (very affordable!) and a chocolate covered graham cracker. Those are my favorite goodies when shopping there. The maple and peanut butter taffy is another favorite. Did I mention that they make amazing covered apples?! How about the chocolate mint bar that my family raves about? The fresh fudge squares...definitely ask to sample a flavor or two before making a decision. They have so many flavors to choose from, and it is rich and delicious. We try something new every time we shop there.

The employees have always been helpful and friendly. The goodies are almost always amazing, and it is fun to browse through all of the amazing products in the store. It is the best candy...

Don’t let the name fool you, this candy store is just as yummy for adults as it is for Kids. We came for some caramel corn (which was delicious) but the fudge is the star of the show here. Hand made and local. Some of the best fudge I’ve tasted!! You can really taste the flavors. We brought home a 6 pack and the squares (before we cut them) are generous at 4oz each and if you’ve ever had fudge before you know that 4oz will be about 6 portions it’s so rich and creamy. So far we have tasted the Pistachio (so good with a hint of rose water) the Caramel Praline Fudge (with a layer of caramel running through it) and the Heath English Toffee. All decadent and delicious. If you’re visiting the central coast this store is definitely worth a stop in historic...
