The coffee is AMAZING! We had the pleaseure of having Russell make our coffee. We were in a group of 12 and the place was packed, he still took the time to explain how the coffee is roasted in small batches and how they do it in house. I talked to him about my business and how we make reusable glass drinking straws and he seemed sincerely interested and so kind. Then it was the best iced white mocha ever! The barista was knowledgeable and excited to tell us everything he could about coffee. Upbeat and happy! He was wonderful! I wasn’t planning on going downtown the 2nd day but we fought the traffic and found a place to park just for this coffee!! It was just as good day two. I live an hour and a half away and have contemplated driving down for coffee lol. We bought the whole bean Italian roast there and have already used the whole bag making coffee at home in our French press. If you have a chance to grab a coffee in Newport 100% worth it! The one barista takes his time and makes each cup perfect. Takes a little extra time but it’s...
Read moreI came in with a client of mine (caregiver) and he just wanted a cup of coffee. I asked for an ice water with some lemon flavoring. My client got the smallest size of coffee and the moment he tasted it he was extremely disappointed. Not only was it not fresh (in a very large thermos on the front counter), he stated it was bitter and had aweful flavor. He’s a religious black coffee drinker and he added lots of half and half and sugar because it was so bad! Not only that, it was the smallest size of black coffee for FIVE DOLLARS. I can get a size up from that from Starbucks for that price that’s 150x better. My water was going to be free but since I asked for lemon he said he’d have to charge. No problem. He put maybe 2 teaspoons of flavoring in my tiny water and charged me THREE dollars. For a pump or two of lemon flavoring?!! Everywhere else I go it’s about $0.50 per pump. Sometimes $0.75. Will not be coming here again. All that being said the counter guy was...

The barista was very friendly and accommodated my wife's request for a piece of fruit with a banana they would usually use to make smoothies. We ordered a Mexican mocha and dirty chai, which were so satisfying to drink on a winter morning.
Lastly, we decided to buy a bag of coffee to take home. When the roast master overheard us, he said he had just finished roasting a batch and went to the back of the shop to get us a bag of the fresh stuff!
We had a very positive experience here and hope to come back the next time...
