We went to Upaint next to pies and pints. I had a much better experience than the last pottery place I went to in another town - here they let you do it on your own. There’s no limit to the paint or supplies. They have a lot of different techniques and tools Also has very nice hints written on plaques and notes - Store is set up so it can be ran by anybody, but the artist behind the store is very evident and the products you see and the examples given and special suggestions written and the options of pottery to choose from is also much better here. There’s a huge wide variety in price from little to a lot. You could spend an hour here or you could spend all day this place. It has a restroom - and you can put your supplies back in your trash in the trash container, but the workers wash up everything for you. It only takes about two business days to get the pottery back. It also has pictures of the difference between white paint and leaving the pottery blank with just the glaze it also has examples of before and after firing the - colors pop a lot after it’s fired - if you have birthday parties, you want to make a reservation, but otherwise you can do a walk-in. I will say there are more a lot of children there when we went on a Saturday, but everybody was friendly and allowed us to share what was on their tables however that wasn’t much necessary because the workers kept refilling the supplies...
Read moreFords Garage is a fun place to eat, with really good burgers. The theme of old Ford vehicles, even hanging from the ceilings, all the way to oil rag napkins that are secured with some kind of car part. Even the bathrooms have carried the car mechanic theme to them. You will occasionally hear horns and the like. It’s fun. It’s good food. What’s not to love?
And it’s very popular, so be prepared for a long wait. No reservations or wait list. The last time I went there, we opted to sit at the bar and had a really good time. Laci the bartender was awesome and even fun to watch. I think she must clock many miles in a day just running around like that. I love the ice strip that goes around the bar where you can keep your drink cold while you watch a game or chat with a friend.
In my opinion, the burgers are the winners here, and I am especially fond of the Estate/Peyton Manning burger. However you really can’t go wrong. The wings are good, the ribs are good. It’s all pretty much good. You can also substitute bison or chicken in your burger if you wish.
The men in my life really love this place, but as a clearly-nonmechanic-female, I love it too. It’s a go-to place for us. As it sits in Hamilton Town Center, there is lots of great stuff around it, including an outdoor lawn area with fun spiny chairs and...
