Blood & Ink Tattoo Studio — Local services in Ogden

I'm sharing my story in hopes that this won't happen to anyone else. So back in December, I had reached out to Justin Vepar (Justin Huffman) (working at Blood and Ink tattoo) about getting a tattoo. Everything seemed to be normal and good at first, but by the end of it I'm wishing I had never even associated with him. We had an appt scheduled for the 23rd of January, and he first changed the time, then said he couldn't do it that day, I was understanding. Then he rescheduled me for the 28th. Again he changed the time and I was understanding. Then a half hour before my appt he said he had no way of getting into the shop. Again I was understanding and told him I would wait until someone could let him in. I waited around until 2pm, and then asked if he could send me me deposit back, and maybe we could work together in the future. He said he would, and then didn't message me back. Until I messaged him the next morning, and that's when things took a turn for the worst. I'm now being told he has no obligation to refund my deposit, even though I tried every step of the way to be understanding, and make the appointment happen. He told me to come in and talk to him, but he wasn't even at the shop. I consider myself to be pretty kind, understanding, and easy to work with, and I think anyone who knows me would say the same. Well here's the run around I've been given, and I just don't think it's very professional, or reasonable at all. Worst experience I've ever had with a "business". Paid $250 to set up an appointment one night while drunk. The next day, within 12 hours of making the appointment I quickly text Xavier to cancel so he could make other arrangements for the time we had set up. He told me he had already spent all the money and said he would get me some back. A week or 2 later I simply asked him to tell me when he would get me the money by. He became very rude and told me I shouldn't be getting anything back. I then got ahold of the owner who seemed nice and helpful, telling me he would make it right. Xavier must've later lied to the owner and management saying he had left money for me to pick up (I never received a call or text of this). The manager then got ahold me. By now it had been about a month. After we talked he seemed to agree that he would get me 50% back. I thought this was fair. It's now been 2 months and I haven't seen a dime. I went here to get my septum piercing two days ago and I was going to get pierced by Jeremy but he couldn’t do one of the girls stepped in and said she could do it for me she made me feel super comfortable and explained to me what she was going to do before she did it and she made me feel very comfortable with myself and just comfortable in general 10/10 I’m definitely going again for another as soon as possible I absolutely loved it!
