IFly is in Ogden, Utah (up north). Staff: 3 Stars (front desk admin) Instructors: 5 Awesome Service: 5 Cleanliness of facility 4 Gears: 4 Ease of Signing Waiver: 4-5 Readiness to Get You Set Up: 4-5 Hours: 11am-9pm (Sunday 11am-5pm) Weight Limits: 260 to under 360 lbs IFly is located inside the Solomon Sports Center (downtown Ogden). The bldg is located on the corner. IFly is situated right next to FlowRider sports bldg just next door. ** Pregnant individuals or prosthetic individuals (who can’t remove or take off the equipment is not able to take this course and participate). An awesome, extraordinary, one of a kind thrilled indoor flying fun if you have the heart for it and are a thrill seeker then this is the place. IFly is indescribable if you’ve not done it, they get you ready based on your IFly time booked. They go by your body size frame, weight- height and find the right size flying suite for you to put on. You can slip on the skydiving suite over your regular shirts/zip up your one-piece suite by the bench located by the front counter where you check-in. You will also receive a helmet (watch, jewelry, dangling items, remove, lock it up). Instructor will go through guidelines/guidance to get you ready, with nothing to worry about or be concerned about. If you’ve questions, ask, they will be happy to answer. One question the instructor asked me was (Have you flew before or have flown on simulator that offers similar air flight experience) or tell me what experience you have, if anything to get to know the student a bit. Once they feel you are ready and seeing readiness, they will again remind you of what needs to be done before you step into the silver tower tank (example: spread your arms-legs wide open (spread eagle position), keep hands flat during flying. Retain this position the best you can in a comfortable way that feels right for you. There is an instructor (or staff) controlling the small air-tower desk (control desk) the controller can see the instructor/student facing the fiberglass chamber tunnel. He controls all the buttons, more air, less air, intermediate airflow depending on level of height during flying and likely depending on the flyer’s body size frame-weigh to control and increase more air, etc to keep the session in the right frame during flying. The flying tunnel is about 12 foot in diameter, 33 ft in height or so. I flew as high up as I did based on the instructor’s experience of what I can do, how much air I can take, how comfortable I was during our lessons, a case-to-case scenario and on many different factors guided by the flying instructor. My instructor that day, was Hamas. I think that was his name. He was patient, warm-friendly-welcoming-likeable, a highly experienced flying coach. He was a delightful instructor from the start. The funniest part was at one point, due to powerful airflow, my face puffed up like a blowfish, bubble-face, inflated. This experience reflected my thoughts of the time I bobsledded (Park City Olympus Park) during the .51 sec finish; of the bobsled ride with a German instructor (who sat in front, I was behind him. I made sure his helmet didn't tilt backward and slam me in the face and behind me were 2 other riders) my face puffed up due to air pressure of the run. I resembled a chipmunk that day. Bobsled G-Force is 5G to 6G. In IFly indoor skydiving, you don't go through the G force but rather a free flow maneuver. My instructor took me up higher to the tunnel chamber, he then used his hands, rotated me so I could spun within the tunnel. I went up then to lower mid-lever of the tunnel then we went back up to a higher airflow height. It was fun, super awesome ! If you are a leisurely traveler or business traveler. If you meet the requirements outlined; you must try this I-Fly lesson before you go home.

I wanted to get the family together for a fun family reunion and I wanted to spend my stimulus check locally- so it was a perfect match. Thanks to Groupon, we got the whole family with iFly, Flowrider, and iRock. It was fabulous. The kids had so much fun. Grandma, that's me, took the first flight. I'm no spring chicken, but I can fly! All the grandkids flew and the moms, too. My son who has done a free-fall from a plane said this was a lot more fun, and cheaper, too. The staff was excellent and very careful for safety. Taking another grand daughter who missed it in a few days. She and I can hardly wait. It was super stupendous. For a few dollars more, some of the adventurous ones even went flying up the wind tunnel, but that was too much for me. I liked watching the kids fly better. This was the perfect idea for a family reunion.

This was an extremely frustrating experience. If I could rate the instructors I would give them a 4 or 5 star review. They were nice, patient and kind to my kids. However, if I rated the business I would give it a 1 star. While I was checking in I over heard someone who works there mention that a jet was out and it would be a week or so before it was fixed. I wondered if this affected how hard it was for my kids to learn to surf. I think patrons should be informed if there is a problem with the jets so they can decide to surf later if they would like. The amount of chlorine was crazy, it burned our eyes and noses and made us cough. I also paid for over $70 for 2 of my kids to have an hour session. The class my kids were in was so big that at times my children only got seconds to try out surfing and would have to wait for 10 minutes before they got in the water again. My kids were very disappointed as their time ticked away while they sat on a bench. My Mom timed it, both kids got less than 5 minutes in the water the entire session. 5 minutes is not the hour I paid for. This class had at least 12 people in it, some of them knew how to surf so they took more time in the water. I think classes should be limited to 6 people or less or a discount should be given if the class is any larger. I would like to ask for a refund. I am sorely...

The overall experience of flying was fun, but the expereience with the staff, left a lot to be desired. My husband and I were super excited for this experience. We went for my birthday, not exactly a cheap date, but worth it for a special occasion. Our "trainer" said probably 5 words or less to us the entire time and did not smile once. She hand motioned us into the training room and put on the video without a word. When it was over she walked in and turned it off, again without a word, walked to the counter where we get our jumpsuits on and simply laid them on the counter for us. My husband is super friendly and tried to make conversation with her to no avail. We followed her into the chamber room again without any excitement or even a smile. She took us each in for our flights and did not give so much as a good job or smile after. We asked another man at the desk about our video that we were supposed to get and he said it will be emailed to you tonight. We both left feeling a little bummed with the overall experience. The actual time in the chamber was great, other than no human interaction took place that could have made the experience so much more fun! Maybe she was just having a bad day, but the other employees seemed to match the energy and I wasn't feeling encouraged to come back for...
