Usually my experiences there are okay at best. I used to go to Jessica because of the really good reviews about her, but honestly she wasn’t that great. She was really friendly and tried her best, but shaping isn’t her strong suit, which is an important aspect of being a nail tech. I then switched over to Julia, she’s a much better tech but is a little spotty on starting on time. One time, I had an appointment at 2pm, we didn’t get started until 2:30, then the woman owner blamed me because Julias next client had arrived while she was still doing my set, however if we had just started on time, there most likely wouldn’t have been an issue. She then told me that if I wanted a design I would have to let them know ahead of schedule when I booked the appointment. Secondly, that woman owner is one of the rudest, most backhanded people I know. She randomly names prices and has an attitude. Today I got a basic set, a tapered square with nude and one accent nail, I had soaked off my previous set and used crystal powder so I was supposed to be charged $52. Instead, during a private conversation with Julia they decided to try and charge me almost $60 with no explanation. Mind you, this was a plain set, no decorations, and only two colors (which are free). When I asked why, she rudely responded that my nails were long and that they were supposed to be charging me $10 and were doing me a favor by charging me slightly less(They barely were longer than my nail quick). Also, my nail tech failed to see that my nails were uneven, one had longer nails than than the other, were slightly slimmer or to wide etc. When I told her about this, I was given attitude. I was upset because this was the second time in a row where I felt personally attacked and that they were trying to raise my prices because I am young, often come alone, and usually pay up to $80 for a more complicated set. Either way, Julia is a talented nail tech but all other factors like customer service, organization, and punctuality are what make this nail...
Read moreGot a pedicure and a dip manicure today. The lady who did my pedicure was good but the lady that did my manicure was very rude and cut the skin on a couple of my fingers. She did not give me a manicure, even after I requested a full manicure with the gel. She went straight to do the dip powder and did not touch my cuticles until I asked her to. When she did work on my cuticles, she did it without soaking my hands in water to soften them causing it to be uncomfortable for me. When I asked her to clean my nails, she told me she would 'do it later'. The powder on a few of my nails was uneven and when I mentioned it to her, with attitude she redipped them. After she told me she was done, I noticed that on most of my nails, my skin was stuck to the powder. Instead of helping she told me to just wash my hands and sent me to the register. At the register, I was visibly upset by the service and try to pry my skin off the nails when a lady (who seemed like the owner or a manager) asked me everything was okay. When I explained the situation she was very nice about it and proceeded to help me with detaching the skin from the nails. I told her that the nail tech I had was very mean and rude when I asked about it. My toes look great but I am still unhappy with my manicure, some of my nails are not shaped or filed nicely and I have cuts from the filing device on 2 fingers which is very upsetting. I have an engagement photoshoot this weekend and my nails look terrible. Needless to say, I will not be going back. 2 stars only for the pedicure and the nice lady at the register, otherwise I would give 0...
Read moreCame here on June 8th to get my nails done with Vanessa. First I showed her a design where all 10 nails had a design on them and she quoted me $63 dollars for them. After completing my nails she said the price was $68. It’s just $5 and I don’t mind but I also only ended up getting only 4 nails with a design. On top of that she ended up rushing towards the end so I had to stay back and speak with one of the owners since a part of my nail was missing the clear coat. Also realized that she put the sticker for my right hand on the wrong way. Apparently it’s how some people prefer it and that’s why she did it but she didn’t ask me plus it looked off when comparing it to the other hand. So today on June 9th I went back to get them fixed. They offered to fix the ruined nails for free however, they didn’t have matching stickers so I asked if they could change the other hand too to match. They told me I’d have to pay 10$. Even after going back to get them fixed Vanessa still messed them up. She was frustrated and annoyed and the way she applied them smudged the entire design. I will not be coming back or recommending this place to others. First and last time giving them...
