I called politely asking to see if they have spanish mackerals and if not what day it usually comes in... I literally bought them 2 days ago and wanted to get more. Lady at the phone states there are none and she doesnt know when they will get it in a very rude tone and tells me she is too busy to check...

I call another day and same lady picks up. She tells me she is both the manager and the owner of the place and tells me they dont sell spanish mackerals because its too expensive and DEMANDS me in a rude tone to tell her what price I bought them for when I tell her I got them a couple days ago.

Definitely DO NOT recommend this place for its customer service and will most certainly not be returning anymore if it is owned by the same person who clearly does not know how to speak to people nicely. Based on other reviews and the attitude of the lady who says shes the owner, this store has just lost another customer.

**UPDATE: I think the response from the owner proves my point... Nowhere in my review did I state my gender, so I don't think the important part was whether or not you talked to a lady or man. The point was the attitude of the person who picked up the phone call towards a customer who asked a normal question. I have never seen an owner argue back with a customer for on an online review with a 'for your information,' so all I have to say is, for YOUR information, I held onto the receipt from the market that day which states price, date and even the item purchased. This used to be our go-to Chinese supermarket 10+ years ago, but after it has become Top Qualify Food Market, the quality of the grocery store has really deteriorated.

The management is terrible and rude. My wife went shopping for some fish and afterwards tried to find a way over to ShopRite. The lady in charge cornered her in the parking lot and started screaming her that she was trespassing and that "she knew what she was doing there" and wouldn't let her leave for 5-10 minutes by standing in front of her car while screaming at her.

I called the store and at first the lady denied that any incident even occurred. Then she said that someone got lost in the back of the parking lot, so she tried to help her but MY wife was the crazy one yelling. Then she said that people go into the parking lot and hit the curb and sue them, so she was trying to help my wife get out of the parking lot...by standing in front of her car and not letting her out? I can corroborate the review below. The service at Top Quality Food Market is unacceptable. A few days ago, they sold me three packages of moldy dumpling wrappers and a package of rancid peanuts from 2021. When I went back to exchange the items I did not have the receipt in hand. The man behind the register essentially gaslighted me saying “there is no way I can prove that I bought the items this morning”. Meanwhile, the woman who rang the items up two hours earlier stood by silently and watched. Just a terrible, dishonest business model.

It’s important to note that when I returned with the receipt the staff allowed me to exchange my items. However, I noticed that no immediate effort was being made to discard the expired food items throughout the store. This place is actually disgusting.
