I am not writing this review for the hotel to respond to me with its standard message that it sends to all "negative" reviews. You don't need to respond since calling me back is not a priority!
My stay was fine. The room was nice. My only complaint about the room was that some of the surfaces weren't wiped down (bathroom door, glass cups & counter near TV) It wasn't a big deal to me because I only needed the room for one night.
My problem is with the staff's lack of urgency in resolving an error they made. Upon arrival, they placed a $75 hold on my card, which was understandable. However, after checking out, I reviewed my charges and noticed that I had been billed for using the bar. I never went to the bar. I went to a restaurant off-site at 4 pm. for an hour and did not leave my room again until 5 am. I have tried to contact the hotel via text and phone call, but the staff keeps telling me that I need to speak with Casey. At this point, I am not even sure if Casey is a real person. I have tried to follow up on this issue before leaving a review in the hope that it was simply a mistake. However, I am beginning to believe that it was not.
If you choose to stay at this hotel, please double-check all of your charges and not leave the hotel until the issue has been resolved.
Lastly, it has a great downtown location. Valet parking is $40, so you don't really have a choice but to get valet service. They will conveniently deduct that charge from the $75 hold.
10/19 They responded back to my review, but no one has called me back or fixed the charge from the bar that I never had a drink from. I would never give you guys another chance to...
Read moreStayed 10/26/24 for the Suns vs. Mavericks game. New hotel with a great location to Footprint arena & Chase field. It is located in a prime area downtown, so that is definitely a plus as you can walk 2 mins to Footprint arena and about 5 minutes to Chase field. Rooms have a microwave, fridge, and basic utensils like forks, spoons, knifes, a toaster, and small coffee maker are also available. The gym has a decent setup for working out, and there are 2 washers and dryers in the same area of the gym that charge $3.00 per washer/dryer load. The hotel is clean, and the lobby area has 2 computers you can use if needed. You pay a $75 incidental fee for 1 night, and then valet parking (no other option) is $40 , so $40 is deducted from the incidental fee. Each valet staff I interacted with was nice, but there is not a specific valet drive up location. In my experience, they had 1 empty parking spot open in the front of the hotel for you to park, and someone would come out to help you valet and get your information which was quick and easy. It would be 5 stars, but the breakfast is very disappointing. Only a few breakfast sandwiches or frozen omelettes they warm up that they put out, but there is no protein option like sausage/bacon. Breakfast has room for improvement as every other Hilton hotel I've stayed at has had some type of protein available. Rooms that are even numbered face the valet parking lot (pictures attached are for room 406). Rooms that are odd numbered will face Footprint arena. I would stay again and recommend this hotel, but skip breakfast. I've attached pictures and videos hoping this review helps you...
Read moreAs Hilton properties go, this site is newer, pretty clean and well maintained. The property is quite accessible to the airport. I had great service at check-in and once later. My lodging room was above average and in working condition. The bath was decent, although the water took a while to get hot on Floor 4. The A/C was responsive. If you're going to use the kitchen, bring your favorite utensils. The in-room coffee was inferior. The elevators can get slow. There is no swimming pool. The BIG problem with this site is the parking; it's valet-only, it can take some time to get your vehicle, and there is next to no covered valet parking so your car will have sat baking in the sun. The parking situation reflects the surrounding area, which is entirely geared towards price-gouging attendees of Suns and Diamondbacks games. You get the pleasure of partaking in the gouging -- there is no available street parking and no overnight parking in the many nearby surface lots. (It's criminal that the city - and the sports team owners - endorse this monopolized situation. So when there's no active sporting event drawing customers' vehicles, these lots are like a vast, empty concrete desert.) For lodging guests, the only alternative parking is quite a few blocks away. I was in town for two baseball games. Next time, I would seriously consider other downtown hotels, which actually seemed less expensive, too. They will have more convenient parking and more/better restaurants immediately available nearby. The downside would be a bit farther walk (or taxi) to the...
