I decided to review a few other comments before I wrote this one, and noticed that several people placed bad reviews on a somewhat bad billing experience they've received without allowing management their due diligence. Let me see if I can redirect the negativity here.
I was a member here last year, took a break and forgot to cancel, only to realize upon return that I'd accumulated a bill for unused gym time. I wasn't upset I know how this is supposed to go; they're a business and need to make money, but to my astonishment they reactivated my account and only charged me for my last month and the current - the same price to sign up for a new membership, thus saving a customer.
Great points about this place:
First: This is a perfect size gym ( you don't need to be Olympic to be awesome) and has all the RIGHT equipment needed to get a decent workout in, weather power lifting, cardio, and just general maintenance of health.
Second: This location isn't over populated, allowing you to maximize your workout time, and the equipment is wiped down (seen employees wiping down during downtime). Any broken equipment is fixed ASAP (usually within a few days - only seen this happen twice).
Third: Conveniently located with (2) parking areas next to the stadium.
Unlike EOS ( which is the polar opposite of what was described above; and is completely corporate; all about nothing but the bottom line)
Mountainside cares about their customers, if you have a bad experience, please don't be petty and take it online, let them re-earn your trust and money; it's quite literally their job, and they...

She was surprised I had a copy of the form. I said I have it right here. It doesn’t say anything that you have to do this but on a month-to-month basis. since she called today about my message to corporate . I called her out on overcharging me every month as well! It’s her fault the price wasn’t right she created my membership ! Also never got a free month when signed up! How have I spent $263.27 for only 4 months??? That’s a hundred dollars more!!!!!!!! Charged me randomly $23 she never fixed that issue either. -she been fraudulently charging my car for a card that no longer exist. I’ve been trying to update my card for the last three months she wouldn’t allow me to to be honest. I think she was charging my account when I asked her to update my card and then be like oh everything’s good. -She was gladly to say that Moe no longer worked there, but he dominates the reviews That was the worst mistake they’ve ever made for that location!!!! -I’m gonna do everything in my power to make sure she gets reprimanded for running that location like it’s a madhouse and overcharging me and taking people’s money!!!!!
Just here to shout out Mo! He’s most definitely needs a huge raise or promotion to operational manager / supervisor of the whole facility! Also shout out to Isiah and the evening crew for always holding it down!...
Read moreMy husband and I signed up for a free trial because we were considering joining this gym. After driving 25 minutes through traffic, we were met with one of the most unprofessional and downright disrespectful experiences I’ve ever had at a fitness facility.
The woman at the front desk a middle-aged staff member did not greet us, did not acknowledge us, and instead carried on a loud personal gossip session while we stood directly in front of her. The gym was practically empty, yet she made us wait and barely gave us the courtesy of eye contact. When she finally did, it was with a rude, dismissive attitude and looks that made it very clear we weren’t welcome there.
It was so disrespectful that my husband and I walked out immediately without even using the free trial. That’s how bad it was. If this is how potential members are treated on day one, I can only imagine how paying members must feel.
For a gym that charges over $200+ a month, this level of treatment is absolutely unacceptable. First impressions matter, and this was by far the worst I have ever experienced at any gym. Management needs to seriously reconsider who they place at the front desk, because this one employee has already cost them two new memberships. Staff like her are the reason people walk away.
I truly hope leadership takes this seriously, because no customer should ever be...
