We almost always wait for first-run films to come to the Paramount before we head to the theater. I love hitting matinees.
The cost is brilliant - only $2.50 before 5p and $3.50 after. And, you can get a large refillable bucket of popcorn and two large refillable drinks for $8.00 more. So you can go on a great date, including snacks, for less than the price of two tickets at a first-run theater. Also, there are different flavored toppings for popcorn so you can doctor your own, and they are not stingy with the soda syrup so the drinks tend to have a nice rich flavor - even diet offerings.
The staff is also generally friendly and helpful, even though sometimes right before shows things can get a little hectic.
On the down side, the seats are sometimes damaged, but the theaters are seldom full so it's not that big of a deal, we just hop around until we find some good ones. It's a small price to pay for an affordable theater experience.
We hope the Paramount 5...
Read moreNormally this is an average place for a movie. However, today I took my six kids and myself to the movies. My kids were really excited to go. I went, purchased 7 tickets, got concessions, and then walked into the theater. There were no seats together. I walked back out and asked what I was supposed to do. They asked if I had tickets and I told them yes. They said then there were seats left avaliable. I asked them to come in and see. They walked in and said there were seven seats. Just none of them were together. So they wanted me to split up myself and all six of my kids all over the theater. The theater was packed and I would have been surprised had there actually been seven seats available. I told them I couldn't do that. They said that was fine, I could wait till the next showing at 3 or leave. I had already purchased my kids tickets and concessions. We left. I am very disappointed in...
Read moreWent here for the first time to go see wicked with the family. The chairs are not the best, they lean back so far. The sound was so quiet that I couldn't hear what was happening on screen but I could hear everyone chewing their popcorn or moving their feet on the sticky floor. I'm also the kind of person who loves watching all of the end credits, whether or not their is a small thing at the end or not. But a worker came up and said they need to clean up so we have to leave, I asked, are we really being kicked out, I usually like to watch the end credits, she said yes, get out we have to clean for the next film. The least I imagine paramount 5 could do is let a person stay to the end credits. Moving forward, I suggest people go to $5 Tuesdays at Fatcats. Much better everything, and they won't have rude staff demanding you leave if you want to watch the...
