Visiting this market is something I look forward to every summer. Locally farmed produce is more expensive than the grocery stores, but it's also fresher and giving back to the local economy and farmers is the right thing to do. The primary thing that draws me to the market are the blueberries from Crawford farms - simply the best blueberries I've ever had, anywhere. This is a great place to get all sorts of fresh local fruits, vegetables, honey, pastries, and other foods! I'm not interested in the non-food vendors and in my opinion they don't really belong, but as long as they're not taking space away from a food vendor I suppose it's fine (although this is a Farmers market and not a craft fair). I hope the city and market organizers find a larger venue in the future, as it has become so popular that parking is ridiculous to find and there are hordes of people. Yes parking is crazy and it can get busy and hot, but plenty of refreshing lemonades, tea, and coffee to drink while you wait. There is always parking short distances away. Always grab coffee at peacock coffee and a lemon pound cake at Todd’s treats (so yummy) before we peruse the market, but next week looking at trying a smoothie at the doughnut stand! Lots of cute shops and restaurants around as well. Near the fountain there is always a local musician playing music also!
