Great nature trails, historical sign posts, ample parking. I came hoping to walk the trails with my jogging stroller. That was a no go. There are about 20 steps, followed by a steep incline filled with rocks and roots. I got up all that and the uneven trail continued with roots and rocks, so I turned back. I was disappointed that I couldn't access the trail, and next time I will bring my baby backpack. So instead we went along the gravel trails and wooden bridges on the other side of the water. There are several signs to tell you the history of the area. My two year old and I walked down to the river side and got a good view of the waterfall, and he enjoyed playing at the waters edge. The waterfall from the dam allows for bathing in the water and is used a lot by local people.
There are public restrooms at the head of the trail. Very unclean on busy days. but okay overall.
Do not venture out on a holiday weekend. You will have to park far away and deal with crowds and the related mess they make around the limited trash cans.
The park has an old water operated mill remnant parts display area. Very nice for kids to learn how technology worked...
