Was invited to try this restaurant with someone close to me. Since I had no plans of going via my own intentions, I had no expectations. Was just here to try a new BBQ spot with company. 1st off, parking situation is decent. There aren't many from what I saw but they're right in front of the restaurant and that's right off the street. Next, the atmosphere. I'll be honest, you're not coming here for great atmosphere. I've seen worse but there's nothing here that stands out. Inside and outside seating was available when I was there but the interior was a bit ran down. Cushions on the interior seating, for example, were ripped on pretty much every seat. Not sure if anyone cares about that but figured I'd mention it. They have some signs and other decor and a few TV's to watch something. Onto the main event, the food. Another unimpressive area. My company barely ate anything off of their plate (Pulled pork sandwich, French fries, and green beans) so take from that what you will. My plate consisted of sausage, brisket, french fries, and potato salad and the only thing even remotely good was the sausage. Everything else was mid or worse. And the lemons I planned to use for my tea remained untouched as they looked as if they were left out and uncovered all day. Folks were nice and service was good, no complaints there. Food came out quickly too but not sure if that's a good thing or not in this case. To wrap up, I can think of at least 1 other place off the top of my head as far as BBQ restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive that's lip smacking good. This 1 ain't it chief.

My ribs and and my husband brisket was so tender, that I could cut through with my fork. The greens were seasoned just right and I am picky about my greens. Potatoe salad was just like granny's. We really wanted to try the corn souffle, so we got a side of that and the banana pudding. The souffle was really good, but sweet and that banana pudding had to be scratch made. No instant pudding there. My husband and I kind of bickered over it. He got the most🙁. We went on a Saturday and the live music added to the atmosphere. Don't go here expecting it to be fancy, it's a hole in the wall in a really nice area, but the food makes up for it. Customer service was great too. Will definitely be going back. Also they support our troops past and present with a 20% discount. If it's your first time here and you're on a date or with a friend, get the two meat and two sides combo. It's more than enough food two ppl.
