THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD, not only with hair salons but service in general. Let me start with the fact that Ive been here 3 times already before with Amber and didn't really have any issues. First time was a hair cut and the following two appointments were for highlights. My last appointment I decided I wanted to overall go blonder. I booked my appointment for a highlight and haircut which estimates 4 hours. I was there for 6 AND 1/2 HOURS FOR HER TO MESS UP MY HAIR. By the time she was finishing up, they were closing the salon and turning off the lights. When I saw my hair I knew I didn't really like it, but I couldnt say anything because they were literally CLOSING THE STORE. At that point I didnt even want to ask to come back a different day because this is a known prestigious salon, and Im paying about $450 for what? I understand if there was a small mistake but my hair was BOTCHED, and I didn't see how bad it was until I got home. IF IM PAYING $450 AT A WELL KNOWN HIGH END SALON, I SHOULD NOT HAVE BANDING IN MY HAIR FROM THE BLEACH. My bangs were platinum and the rest of my hair was so brassy, patchy, and damaged. The back of my hair was also barely done and weirdly dropped off from the blonde to brown. I'll put pictures and videos. I don't understand how can take 6 1/2 hours and barely do the back of my head. I tried to call the salon and when they didn't answer, I left a voicemail and they never called back. For how upset I was, I was still very nice considering everything and said I was very disappointed and that I would not like to come back but asked if there was anything they could do to reimburse me. I absolutely hate complaining about a service it makes me feel bad and makes me nervous, but I felt like this is the one time I should say something. Again, they never called me back. At that point I let it go and had already got my hair fixed somewhere else. Here's where it gets worse. THEY CHARGE MY CARD AGAIN. They charged me for a booked out appointment after I tried to get in touch to cancel weeks before which is then when i left the voicemail and obviously was not coming back. I tried to cancel on the website but it wasn't working. At that point I just hoped that they eventually would know it was cancelled from the voicemail. After a month or so passes, I forget about the whole thing trying to block it out because it was so upsetting and I just promised myself I would never go back. BUT WHEN THEY CHARGED MY CARD AGAIN I WAS LIKE IM CALLING UNTIL I CAN GET AHOLD OF SOMEONE. It also feels like charging my card again was done ON PURPOSE, because I always would receive appointment reminders but this time I didnt receive A SINGLE ONE. When they finally picked up, i explained the whole situation and the guy was nice and told me the manager would call me back within the hour. I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK, not even the next day, next week, NOTHING. Even writing this is making me so upset because this salon doesn't care about its customers whatsoever or even care about doing good hair, they just want your money. I know this is long and I usually never write reviews but I wanted to help people possibly avoid the situation that I went through....
Read moreStylist- Jen A. Experience- 15+ years, Extensive Balayage knowledge and experience Amazing with color correction!!! I am a young professional, that still wants to stay on top of the latest trend. I unfortunately had a horrible experience with a salon in Ferndale and decided this time to do my research! I spent a full month in deciding on a salon alone! I narrowed it down to three top salons in the Birmingham and Royal Oak area. From there I blogged on my affiliated groups around the area and also called the Salons to find out more regarding their top stylists. For another 3 weeks I looked at photos of hair. I looked at others woman's fb profiles whom said they went to the stylists. I did just about everything to ensure I was making the right decision! I became obsessed with this one appointment! I finally decided and booked my appointment. It did take a few weeks to get in, but this was good because as you all know, if you get in right away, this is the FIRST RED SIGNAL!! She was just about the most pleasant and down to earth stylist I had ever met! She is super cute and didn't make you feel uncomfortable! She actually LISTENED! I had brought in a photo of the most perfect Balayage (done by GUY TANG) and also picture perfect model hair and said I would like this! She gave me EXACTLY if not BETTER than GUY TANG (if you don't know who he is, look him up... He is like the best colorist to the stars ever). While I was there she had another client whom was telling me about her PINK BUbblegum hair that she had by Jen. She showed me a photo of it. I swear to you all that I have NEVER seen PINK hair look so good in my entire life!!!!!! This stylist is AMAZING!!!!!!!! She goes from Classic to EDGY! There is nothing she is afraid to do and it all looks amazing! I will say that you will not be disappointed! By far the best stylist I have ever met! I will never go to anyone else again!!!!!!!!...
Read moreI wish I could rate my personal experience higher than a 2 but my past two visits have been extremely unprofessional and borderline rude. I visited the salon in June for a haircut and scheduled online with a prepaid deposit for a specific hairstylist. Once arriving to the salon I checked in and waited for about 25 minutes before inquiring with the front desk. I was told that there was a mistake and the hairstylist I booked with online isn’t even in the salon today. It’s still unclear as to how I was able to book with someone on a specific time and date and pay a deposit, with them not even being in the salon. Another hairdresser overheard and was kind enough to do my haircut and I was happy with the result so I refrained from saying anything at the time. My second experience yesterday was once again disappointing and unprofessional. I booked a haircut with Brigette and put down another $40 deposit. I was running 7 minutes late so I called the salon and let them know. Once I arrived I checked in and was assured that it was not a big deal. The hairstylist then approached me and let me know that I was very late and she would no longer be doing my haircut, but would have a coworker step in and do it for me. She then proceeded to walk back to her station and continue working on another clients hair. I did not wish to argue and was frankly surprised at how I was yet again being handed off to someone I did not book with. While I have been able to get good haircuts, the unprofessional and rude attitude is...
