The visitor center is a great place to get in out of the heat. It is across the street from the Alamo and has a nice little gift shop, clean restrooms, and a cardboard cutout of Disney's Davy Crockett.

Was here 20 years ago. Although the front hadn't changed the back area is very nice. Tour bus leaving and had to go. Thought I'd get back but couldn't. Oh well, next time. Enjoy my visit.

Never again will I visit a city that was FOUNDED on the fight for the rights of PROPERTY OWNERS when you find out they used mob tactics to STEAL a private owned business for the financial gain of someone else’s private owned business. How do you say I’m unAmerican without saying it? How do you say “I’m a criminal politician” without saying it? Now the name Alamo has forever become synonymous...

It was such a life changing experience I'm going to have to find my pictures to upload but it's worth going. They also have a nice shopping/restaurant River Walk that's worth talking a look at. The buildings are as beautiful as you could imagine. I'll post more about this and edit this review as soon...
