Fashion Valley — Attraction in San Diego

However, one downside of the mall is that parking can be tight on the weekends. But with the Nordstrom, Boomingdales, and Neiman Marcus, it is well worth the extra effort. During the winter time, Fashion Valley Mall transforms into a winter wonderland with Santa and festive decorations, making it a great place for families to visit and create memories.

Walking into the Fashion Valley Mall is...an experience. Picture being a short, dumpy, disabled woman, hobbling into the quad in old sweatpants and a dirty tank top, trying to find the Apple Store so you can get your iPad repaired.

There's no directory. You have to scan a QR code to some website equivalent of the plot of National Treasure just to get a map. The map isn't that helpful either.

There are few places to sit, none of them in the shade. The kiosks sell mostly unlicenced Apple accessories and the shops are all luxury brands. Need a drink because you're dying in the San Diego sun? Too bad, you have to go up to the second level of you want anything but overpriced juice or coffee.

If you are lower middle class, I guarantee you'll feel out of place. Luckily, the people are very nice and helpful. Parking isn't too bad, but I can't call it very disability friendly unfortunately. The parking elevator smells like urine and stale tobacco smoke, so...prepare for that....

This mall is just absolutely great. It has so many of my favorite stores. They have done a lot to this month throughout the years and they're always improving. I guess they have to compete with UTC. There's always new additions to the mall which makes it fun. I really enjoyed the Apple store here because it's nice and large and feels very roomy. The food selection here has also improved a lot throughout the years. There's so many different restaurants to try here and something new is also coming along every so often. They have the classic cheesecake factory and PF Chang's so it's hard to complain. I recently went to the Tommy Bahama bar and I thought that was a cool experience. I was impressed how they pulled off a bar inside a clothing store. My boyfriend and I come here every so often just to get out of the house and take a walk around the mall and get...
