Rosecrans Shopping Center — Attraction in San Diego

I went to the Rosecrans Shopping Center to dine at one of the many exclusive businesses that make up this small small commercial complex of stores : "Rubio's Coastal Grill" - it used to be called "Rubio's"and it became one of San Diego's first restaurants that exclusively specialised in the "creation" and the making awesome "fish tacos." The first "Rubio's" that I remember, was in a small shop ; it was located just off of the I-5 Garnet/Mission Bay Drive exit south and since then, it has grown and become a major competitor within a large group of both small and large Mexican - as well as other restaurants - that sell fish tacos. It is however - in my opinion - the one restaurant that I go to when I want an a really good fish taco. Ralph Rubio created his own recipe - taken from his travells throughout Mexico - and the "Rubio's original fish taco" is still the best ; whatever I want a few good fish tacos, I always know where to go! The architecturally designed wooden interior is beautiful, calming and the ambience is really nice (Although it can get crowded, once one figures out the "right time" to go there, I find it to be a very relaxing experience.). I can remember - decades ago - when I used to travell to San Quentin and a few points further south ; along the Baja Peninsula, to surf (alone), I used occasionally stop at taco stands along the way and most often, I got some really good sea food tacos. I also found some awesome waves too, especially on a nice south swell. Nowadays, the world has become an increasingly violent place : I'd love to write and travell however, I'd only do so with a very small tour group, or as planned assignment, but I'm too old to get hired in this country? Maybe, however we'll see after the new year? "Rubio's" has a much larger menu and the offer customers a variety of different types of fish tacos, along with a few other "speciality items"too... I don’t know who hires the security guards at this plaza, but there was one working at night that was completely inappropriate and disrespectful to my boyfriend and I. First off, he was making obscene accusations calling my boyfriend and liar again and again with no evidence to back it up. Which is especially frustrating when he was telling him the truth. Then he continues to keep yelling just awful profanity and provoking to fight my boyfriend. Luckily one of the store workers was able to calm the situation down and had him walk away. But he flat out said, “I don’t care about my job I can say and do whatever I want.” After I said what he is saying is inappropriate as a worker. He was way more concerned with starting a fight and shouting demeaning things than doing his job. I like a lot of stores in the shopping center but that security guard was a huge...

Thank you Horizon for giving back my brother's life. Because of this drug rehab. center, he is now able to carry out the life he really wanted to lead.

My brother has been addicted to alcohol for so long that it not only affected our family's relationship with him, but it made it hard for him to keep a job. Horizon helped him build back the bonds with our family and his friends and also develop the skills he needed to maintain his sobriety.
