To tell you the truth, I stopped by the Marina Greens area on my way to Marin Headlines because I needed to use the restroom. When I came out the restroom and looked around, the area's pretty open. There are park benches at the water's edge, but that's it. If I were having a picnic, I'd be worried about guarding my food from aggressive Seagulls and Blackbirds. You also have to be careful of where you throw down a blanket and cop-a-squat on the grass. Dogs urinating and pooping, to people spitting and spilling liquids of all denominations to soak into the field. A piece of cardboard will give you ample protection for a moment or too. Read moreI always love it here. The views are spectacular especially that of the Golden Gate Bridge. I always bring my dog here and we roam the beach and trails. I like the fact that you can either walk the beach or hit the trails(dirt and/or paved). Pack some food you're going to want to be here all day! On the other hand, if you don't bring lunch and end up hungry there are shops and Safeway right close by.
