First of all I want to clarify that I have never eaten at this place before. The review will simply be about my experience here.
I do not live in SF. A few weeks ago, I was visiting a relative there and while taking the bus, I got off at the wrong stop and got lost. I was very scared because Iâm just a girl alone in a relatively empty street and my phone just happened to die not too long after. I tried everything, taking the next bus, walking a few minutes to try to find the street I was supposed to meet my relative at but it was 7pm and too cold so I just stood there at the bus stop defeated. Just praying and praying that I could find a way to solve this issue of mine which is when I noticed a man who kept looking at me with a concerned expression on his face from the store across the street from me. I tested my luck and crossed the road. The same man immediately walks out of the store with a warm smile on his face and asks me if I wanted a free slice of pizza. I was overjoyed, and so happy that this man had kind intentions and somehow noticed me struggling. Though I had to refuse his offer because I was fasting at the time, I made sure he knew I was thankful. Then he offered I go inside his pizza place because itâs warmer than outside. He told me I could make a phone call when I asked and he was overall very kind. He kept asking if I was sure about the pizza. He was even cleaning the place but made sure I was comfortable. I know I didnât have any of his food but it sure smelled great. I am not in sf anymore but if and when I do go back, Iâm going to this place firsthand and supporting this business. Owner, if youâre reading this, Iâll never forget your...
Read moreToday was my first time trying Avellino Pizzeria but itâ wonât be my last. Pizzeria Avellino uses only the freshest ingredients around, ensuring that every dish is of the highest possible quality. Conveniently located five (5) minutes away from the Palace of Fine Arts, this pizzeria is a great place to stop in for a bite if youâre exploring the city of San Francisco. Avellino has several speciality pizzas, such as, The Lombard Pizza, Fuggedaboutit Pizza, and Veggie Jackson Pizza are all prepared quickly and made fresh to order. Due to COVID, there is no dine-in options, but, they have an outside patio with four (4) tables that customers can sit and enjoy their food at. I ordered the large classic pepperoni pizza, and it was good. It was perfectly priced ($21.00) and had eight (8) large slices, which is perfect if youâre sharing. The only issue I had was that the pizza was a bit greasy, but, what pizza isnât. This is definitely a pizzeria worth...
Read morePizza Avellino is a wonderful local place for a quick slice of delicious pizza! They stay open later. This makes walking through the Presidio and then stopping off for a reasonably priced evening evening meal and easy thing to do in this part of San Francisco. They pay attention to what you ask them to do when you pick your slice and specify a type of of crispiness that you want the slice to be. The guys running the place the night I came in are nice and quick. Tables were clean. My slice of pepperoni arrived cooked perfect. For the $6.00 cost it tasted great. I'll be back for a future stop the next time I am in the...
