First time in my life I've found GARLIC in my sushi - not fresh garlic, but toasted, salted garlic! The flavor was so discordant and strong in my mouth I had to suppress the urge to cough my food up. The chirashi plate was overpriced and the chef cutting the fish didn't seem to know how to prepare the sashimi (big chunk of fish - as though they were meant to be bbq'd on skewers).

I am sure for a certain palette the food is appetizing but I left with the taste and smell of toasted garlic stuck to the top of my mouth.

It is kind of like someone who is color blind wearing garishly colored clothing. This menu is for the taste blind - garishly flavored cuisine for a palette accustomed to charred meat smothered in pepper corns and spices.

It wouldn't have been so bad if hadn't cost me so much money to be disappointed.

The service was fine however - an effort was made to make the diner's feel welcome and...

We were craving sushi after our walk around Golden Gate Bridge… we settled for Wago based on quality and price. The fish was definitely fresh and the price wasn’t exorbitant. We were glad we chose this restaurant! We ordered two of the 12 pc nigiri deluxe which came with salad and miso soup. The miso soup was more concentrated than we’re used to.. like noticeably more 👀. Anyway the sushi came in a boat which is a nice touch. We also added their ikura tama and uni tama… salmon roe with quail egg and sea urchin with quail egg. I highly recommend these additions!

The employees here are really nice. They helped some of the customers charge their phones. While I don’t recommend coming here with that expectation, I do think this is a noticeable act...

We tried Wago Sushi restaurant after seeing a lot of good online reviews. Their special Sushi Nigiri dish is amazing with a variety of my favorites such as Hamachi, Toro, and Salmon. After seeing a cute picture of Uni with Quail Egg, I tried it and it was very good as well. The meal is not complete without a special roll literally on fire, so we tried it because it is very novel to me. It was good to try once, but I don't think we will order it again as there are better choices. As to parking, the street parking can be challenging, but you won't have any problems if you are willing to walk 3 blocks or so away. Overall, I think it is a great restaurant worthwhile to stop by if you are in the...

I had a fantastic experience at Sago Sushi! We celebrated my son's birthday, and everything was perfect. The variety of sushi was impressive, and each of the five flavors we tried was delicious. Chet was our host, and he went above and beyond by offering a unique and healthy dish to my sister, who is pregnant. The service was exceptional; the staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a family celebration. Plus, the dessert was the cherry on top—an amazing end to a wonderful meal! We will definitely be back. Thank you, Sago Sushi, for making my son's birthday so special!
