Well, I enjoyed the 2nd room I had 225 ,large room. It was nice. The first room I was in 330, had many issues. Climate control would not work, the tv stopped working & I tried to reset it, the instructions said to press the input button and there wasn't such a button. The select button on the remote would not work either, So I gave up. The shower sprayer was not installed properly, and it was spraying all over the walls and floor, the floors creaked and squeaked almost every where on the floor, there is a thin wooden floor plate that separates the bath floor and the carpet and it's completely loose and I walked on it barefooted and it pinched the bottom of my foot. The rooms have potential, but the whole property could us a fresh coat of paint and a bit of of a refresh with better lighting , or any lightning in the common areas, it's dark, dingy and not attractive. It looks like there might have been a room renovation 5-10 years ago, and no money left to do the rest of the motel. ||More importantly though, the day I came down to alert the agent at the front desk who may be the daughter of the owners, who also work at the front desk, was so rude and unprofessional. The owners need to know she is either not happy working there or she just naturally has a terrible attitude. I made a review early on, on my first night, it was a 4 star review at that time. However that quickly changed right after the exchange with this young front desk agent. She rolled her eyes when I came to alert her of the problems, and offered to check me out and she'd give me a refund. She just did not want to be bothered. My keys, had to be remade a couple of times. First of all, the key system is old and the keys generic. The 2nd time it happened, she was so incredibly rude again, as I handed her the keys to have them remade, she rolled her eyes again and made it seem like I was waisting her precious time. Then she says, trying to make me feel bad, by telling me " I don't know what you're doing but no one else has this problem!" In a nasty tone And when she handed me the keys, she tried to shove them at me but she hit the keys on the window. She didn't apologize for all of the issues. Left for the day and none of the issues were attended too, nor was the room cleaned despite hanging the door card on the knob requesting housekeeping service.||Young lady was one of the most rudest and impatient customer service hotel front desk workers I have had the displeasure of dealing with in my travels . I will never be back again, and she would be most of the reason why. She does this property no favors, she does not belong in the front where people are, but ideally as a dishwasher in the back or a housekeeper. ||The quickest way to kill your business is having this girl anywhere where she can come into contact to guests. The mom, very nice, the father, I assume is ok. ||The water temperature in the shower, was either cold or scorching hot, hard to get a medium or middle temperature. Low pressure, Not enjoyable ||The room doors are severely lacking in security! No security latch and no dead bolt, well there is one but there's no catch or plate. For it to make contact with.||The only real positive, the free parking! ||Lastly, when it's raining and cold outside, the hospitable thing to do is allow your guests to check in or out in your small but cozy lobby. Come on folks it's common curtesy, we are your paying guests who pay for you to enjoy your shelter, so show you appreciate our business by letting us in during the winter. It is a small space but enough for 1 party at a time to check in or out. It's not as if there's a lot of people who c/i or out at the same time.||Just...
Read moreI'm writing this review for my wife, as English is not her first language. We typically don't leave reviews, good or bad, but this hotel was so shockingly unacceptable that we felt compelled to do our part to notify potential guests to steer clear. My wife and her mother stayed here for five days, and wasted a good amount of time trying to clean the rooms to an acceptable level, as the staff couldn't be bothered to lift a finger. Her mother lives overseas and she sees her maybe once every two years, so this was a great way to spend their limited time together.
The pictures below should give you an idea of the cleanliness level of this place. My wife didn't think to take pictures of the broken faucet, or the dirty towels, or the surfaces in the apartment that were covered in crumbs and rings from drinks that had been sitting out. They didn't mention the fact that the free WiFi didn't work. The sheets had clearly just been flipped inside out instead of changed. They requested fresh linens multiple times (which they had to go pick up, as the front desk declined to deliver them), that were also dirty. The staff "upgraded" them from their first room, which smelled so bad they had to leave the door open for an hour before attempting to unpack. The new room was bigger, and with a better view, but equally as dirty. My wife booked this hotel knowing it wasn't going to be the Ritz-Carlton, but I think we can all agree that a clean room, linens, towels, etc are considered to the bare minimum for any establishment. Don't kid yourselves - the rooms look nothing like the pictures advertised online.
The staff was rude, complacent, and wholly unconcerned with making their stay better. I could go on and on, but again, just look at the pictures. Mistakes happen, but when they are not rectified, they become an issue. I have worked in customer service roles for the better part of 20 years, and the lack of customer service was simply appalling. This is the hospitality industry, and there was none to be found. Do yourself a solid and look elsewhere for lodging - this place is disgusting through and through. Lesson learned, as we were unable to dispute the charge through our credit card company. Please don't make the same...
Read more5/27/23 Most bad reviews I'm guessing are probably because of the wrong expectation. This is a 2-star rated hotel which is known to be in a bad area, and luckily there is parking on a first come first served basis (unlike other hotels more expensive and have no parking). If you expect to get a 4 or 5 star hotel out of a 2-star hotel, or if you didn't read all the upfront information available as you are booking online, then its not on the hotel for your lack of information. Other reviews already indicated the bigger part of the hotel hallways had an old carpet or some kind of smell so don't expect too much for the economical price, think budget Circus Circus Hotel. I think this is a family operated business and I'm very happy to say they are Indian even though I'm Asian, I'm very close to the people and their culture. Checked in just before 3pm, meeting a very nice young lady Miss Nina who was very nice and helpful. Much to my surprise, she upgraded us on to what I think was the newer or if not updated rooms by the pool. Everything is very nice, the right water pressure and temperature, great AC, and cleanliness of the room/bathroom. The only thing probably missing would be a small fridge and or microwave which I wouldn't mind paying an extra $25 for a 2 night-stay if they had that. Also the pool was closed, but everything was perfect, even when I checked out the following morning. There were so many bad reviews on Granddad, yet he was such a very nice man. Again please check your attitude and read all the available information including the good and honest reviews before checking-in. I highly recommend this hotel and will be checking-in again if ever I make it back to SanFran.
Check your 5 star expectation back to reality of 2-star, also leave your attitude outside the property before...
