My experience at the Signature Inn was absolutely HORRIBLE! And the Management/Owners should be ashamed of themselves. When I got to my room, it had this pungent smell, like leftover food, and I had no shower curtain. I had to go find the housekeepers to get me a shower curtain so I could shower. The next day I went out and walked around town, and when I got back to my room, my door was open, so I walked in. When I walked into my room the Housekeeper was sitting at the table eating her lunch, talking on the phone, and using MY cell phone charger. She had moved my things off the table and chair and put them on the floor so she could have her lunch in my room. I expected her to jump up and apologize and then leave, but she just kept eating. I then asked her to leave…. she just kept talking on the phone. I then said “I am going to take a shower now…”, hoping that she would get the hint and leave my room. She just responded with “ok” and kept eating, so I took a picture of her. Now I am getting upset, not only did you come into my room and move my things, but you’re also using my things, and invading my privacy at this point. And not to mention she did not even clean the room. I then said “You need to leave my room NOW!” She finally got up and left the room, still without an apology. I could not believe this was even real life!! What would have happened if I didn’t come back to the room? Would she have gone through the rest of my stuff? Or stolen from me? But I decided I was not going to say anything until I checked out because I didn’t want anything else to happen to my room or things. I put up the “do not disturb” for the next 4 days. When I went to check out, there was a lady at the front desk, and I told her about my experience and she could not believe what happened, she took a picture of the picture I took of the housekeeper and said that the owner would contact me today to figure this out. Did not hear anything for 2 days! I decided then, that I was going to call them. When I called, a gentleman picked up and I started telling him what happened and he interrupted me with “yah yah yah I remember you, I heard about what happened and I don’t know what you want me to do about that?” I said “I feel like this was an invasion of privacy and I am paying for a room and I did not pay for it to shared with a housekeeper so they could take their lunch break in there.” He then argued with me, “I don’t see what the big deal is? Are you telling me my housekeepers can’t eat lunch? She was probably about to clean your room and then just got hungry so was taking a break.” I could NOT BELIEVE that the OWNER of this hotel was trying to justify that it was okay for their staff to use guests’ rooms to eat their lunch, and use their things while doing so. I WAS APPALLED! I said “well I feel like from the beginning this was not a good experience and I am expecting some kind of refund for the inconvenience.” He then laughed and said “You think you should be refunded because someone used your cell phone charger?” I said “I cannot believe you think this is ok! And if I don’t get some type of refund, I will make sure to post this situation online so people know what kind of establishment you are running.” He then said “Well I will call you tomorrow” and then hung up. That was 5 days ago, and I still have not heard anything from anyone. So now here we are! And I am deciding to post this so anyone who is contemplating staying here can take this as a WARNING. This place is poorly run by people who are inconsiderate and do not care about their guests. Don’t expect to be treated nicely, and definitely don’t expect for them to resolve ANY type of issue you have. If you are comfortable with staying in a dirty run-down dump of a hotel, that allows their staff to use your room and your things for their own personal use, and incompetent management that does not respect your privacy, then THIS IS YOUR PLACE. But if you want to know from my experience, spend the extra money and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!(PS-my review was too long so this is the...

Hotel Review: A Disappointing and Threatening Experience

I stayed at this hotel for four days, and it was an absolutely terrible experience. From the beginning, the staff were incredibly rude and unprofessional.

One of the most alarming incidents occurred when I parked my car. The parking lot is very small and was full, so I left a note with my room number on the windshield and parked inside, hoping that when another car left, they would call my room so I could move it. To my surprise, one of the employees yelled at me and threatened to call the police, saying they would charge me a fine. His attitude was intimidating and completely unacceptable. What happened to "the customer is always right"?

But that wasn't all. During my stay, the cleaning service was nonexistent. The room was not cleaned even once in the four days I was there. The bed was never made, and the trash was not taken out, which is simply unacceptable for any establishment calling itself a hotel.

In summary, this place is a disaster. Rude and threatening staff, nonexistent cleaning service, and management that clearly doesn't care about its guests. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Avoid it...

Roy is the nicest, & most sympathetic mgr. I’ve ever met. Roy will not be taken advantage of. Roy will help where he can. Super 8 in SF is totally renovated. There’s outside structural painting going on. The rooms have all been renovated to 21st century standards. New bathrooms, new flooring, painted walls, LED lighting. Have to comment on the toilets. They’re TOTO’s. They flush everything. Took note for my own home. Parking is partially covered but, inset from the street. Your vehicle will be safe. The Marina is an affluent district. Nice homes, & great places to walk. Parallel on Chestnut St are fabulous restaurants. A UPS & Apple 🍎 store within walking distance. Napizza Restaurant has the BEST wood fire pizza, I’ve ever tasted. Tell Silvio, Chuck sent ya. You’re just a couple miles from Fisherman’s Wharf. Take an Uber for $10. Cheap! Don’t worry about parking. You can safely walk the area. I was very satisfied with the moderate rates at Super 8. I didn’t need much. Wasn’t staying there all day long. Clean, close, safe & a nice Mgr, Roy, who will help make your stay comfortable. Please give...

San Francisco hotel that won’t break the bank and is super affordable- Signature Inn San Francisco Rates - $115/night during high season and as low as $75 a night during low season! This is a motel but absolutely gorgeous! If you split with friends it’s even cheaper. It’s within walking distance to bus stops, the Presidio Park and tons of shops. I felt safe staying here traveling solo too. #budgettraveltok #budgettravel #sanfrancisco #sanfransiscohotels #hotels

Very nice balance between quality and price. It is an older motel that has been renovated and remodelled to a certain degree. The room was spotlessly clean, which I believe is important. And therefore very nice. The owner is also very kind - he let us check in a bit early as he had a room ready. The room has a comfortable bed, a to, small desk and a chair, walk-in closet, iron and iron board. Clean bathroom also. The place has 10+2 parking spots (First come first serve) for free. Which is awesome. Also it has a roof top patio, which is nice. Even though the inn is located on Lombard Street the hotel rooms are very quiet - can’t even hear people around you in the other rooms. Overall an excellent stay.
