My mom originally planned to go through this maze with my sister, but when we got to the cashier, she backed out and forced me to go instead. It's definitely an interesting experience, but I think once is enough and I probably won't go back again.
For just $5, you're able to get a hand stamp that allows you to reenter the maze as many times as you want during the rest of the day. It makes more sense if you get there earlier so you can make the most of that $5! :P But I went through twice and it was already enough for me.
You have to put on plastic gloves (which are supplied to you after you pay at the cashier) as to not get fingerprints on the mirrors. This maze is filled with twists, turns, dead ends. It actually looks pretty impossible with all the lights flashing and the loud music, but I think the mirrors all around you give you an even scarier impression that you might never escape from the inside.
My sister and I were lost several times and we actually found ourselves finding the way out, only to realize we only found the entrance in which we had come from. And with groups constantly entering the maze and standing around looking for the exit as well, it gets more claustrophobic and hard to navigate. We were inside trying to brave the long road ahead and kids were running and screaming and even running into me. Not fun. We did eventually find the exit (due to some methods I shall not disclose on Yelp). It was fun, but I felt a little nauseated afterwards due to the music and lights.
Overall, an interesting experience if you're around Fisherman's Wharf and want something fun and different to do. There are also these cool musical stairs that lead up to Magowan's infinite Mirror Maze, which I really liked. Was it worth the $5? I...
Read moreMagowan's Infinite Mirror Maze is a fun and unique spot, located about halfway down Pier 39 near the taco place. We found it on Groupon and decided to turn it into a little date adventure. The maze itself was a cool and visually striking experience, with plenty of mirrors and lights to make it feel magical. That said, the "Infinite" in the name might be a touch misleading—it's quite finite, as we managed to complete it in under 10 minutes.
To their credit, you can go through the maze as many times as you'd like, but we were satisfied after one run. It’s not their fault—had I done more research, I might have set more realistic expectations for how long we’d spend there, especially since we drove 1.5 hours to get there. Still, if you know what to expect going in, it’s definitely worth checking out as a quick, entertaining experience.
Pro tip: plan some other activities to make the most of your...
Read moreParked across the street it’s $10 an hour! However it makes it much more convenient so yea. The maze is located within pier 39 it is small and can end within 5 minutes. We spent about an hour there going over an over again( my toddler loved it that much) Kid friendly, they play great music which makes it more enjoyable Greeted upon entry and the host was so sweet Restrooms available close by They provide you with gloves ( hands will sweat) I would suggest you bring your own warm gloves or mittens which I did for my daughter it’s more enjoyable than the ones they provide. (Gloves are provided to prevent all those fingerprints, dirtying mirrors) makes sense You pay $10 and you can go back anytime during the day until they close at 8 pm. Awesome art and vibe I’ll be visiting again We visited on a Wednesday at 5 pm...
