My husband and I joined Crunch in November of last year. Over the course of our membership, we noticed a decline in the equipment, staff and overall cleanliness of the gym. For a couple of months, it was nearly impossible to find paper towels and cleaner refilled. Then we noticed pieces of equipment needing serious attention. Cushions torn and cracking, some "Maintenance" closed pieces taking over 3 months to fix, 5 gallon buckets placed around the facility collecting water, wall paint pealing due to leaks, nasty unclean restrooms, water fountains consistently broken, rowing machines with dead batteries so you couldn't even see a read out. All of this going on for MONTHS! LOUD rap music with some pretty offensive language over the speakers was a turn off too. Several TV's were not working and the ones that were had 6 screens showing various news channels which is useless and they can't display close captioning. The straw that broke the camel's back was this weekend. Saturday we showed up at 7 a.m. which is when they were supposed to open. The employee finally showed up to open the doors at 7:10 a.m. Sunday, we showed up for a workout at 7:30 a.m. People waiting, no employees any place and we left at 7:40 a.m. We closed our account yesterday and the guy that closed us out didn't even ask why were closing our account, nor did he care. Whoever owns this franchise needs to have this facility pulled! We joined another gym yesterday and it was clean, maintained very well and we will never return to Crunch.

I started my membership at the beginning of the year when Crunch opened in Savannah. The location was perfect for me to train before or after work. My goal was to train a few times a week and gain muscle, I knew I would need assistance so I decided to purchase a trainer and sessions through Crunch. I trained with “Jay” who is amazing and holds you accountable! He created my workout plan and sent meal ideas! The love hate relationship was evident in our workout’s because he would certainly push you to improvement. 2 days for 1 hour plus all the other benefits of my program was so worth it! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND JAY AS A TRAINER if you are going to Crunch Savannah. People are usually timid about the pricing but they will work with you and you should always think of yourself as an investment. Now go get that workout!

Edit: it’s been a few of weeks now and absolutely nothing has changed. I have attached pictures from my visit today. I understand the roof leaking is out of your control but the showers should not be in this shape. I hate to post this but the state of the crunch gym is horrendous. The bathrooms are disgusting, the sauna has been down for nearly a month, and it’s so over crowded that it’s hard to find space to do a workout - and tbh i could deal with that if it was just CLEAN. But it is seriously so gross every time I go in. I typically go to the gym 3-4 times a week. I joined last year and it has gone downhill so much I am considering leaving. I loved crunch when I joined it and will be happy to adjust my review but y’all have to step it up.

UPDATE: Another micro- aggression. Since I left my review they have now dimmed the lights in the room to a level where nobody can take pictures in there. These people love to bully their members. Machines are still all broken by the way! I have been a member for 3 years. The first year everything was amazing, the place was clean, the machines were routinely maintained. Years 2 and 3 the place has fallen off. All the good employees were replaced with dumb and lazy ones except for the sweet young lady with the glasses that is at the front some days. She’s the only person that is somewhat nice and she is barely even trying. Still nothing compared to the year 1 and some of the year 2 employees. Now the machines are always broken. There are also several with stripped cables that never get a broken sign put on them and never get looked at. The entire place smells like a zoo on most days. It used to smell like a doctors office. Another serious gripe is the attitude about the multi purpose rooms and the bike room. The way it used to be everyone felt free to use them. Now they cater to people who don’t even work out while disrespecting people who are serious about it. They pack the rooms with severely obese people and have them doing movements that don’t do anything for their physical or cardiovascular health. Now I do believe the rooms should be available to everyone but sometimes I want to go in there and there are literally people sleeping or one of the employees the blue haired lady sitting on the stage barefooted showing her dirty feet to the entire gym. Meanwhile they are passive aggressive towards the people who seriously work out that want to use the rooms to take photos. They have gone as far as to put a locked box over the light controls in the bike room. Passive aggressive moves to keep people from posing in there when the room with the stage is occupied. I have always loved this place but a large amount of these people, these phony “personal trainers” that won’t even let their clients put 1 45lb plate on a leg press, need to be let go. Upper management needs to be let go and replaced with the nice lady at the desk. I hardly see management looking people around and when I do it’s some red haired guy who looks like he has no idea what’s going on. The old management knew how to run a gym. What the hell happened? I want real answers and I want change. Regardless of how this is received I will be fully documenting everything from the machines to the bathrooms to the employees and emailing every possible extension of crunch fitness I can find to get...

I can't express enough how fortunate I am to have Chelsea as my trainer. Working with her has been an absolute game-changer for me.

From the moment I started training with Chelsea, I knew I was in capable hands. Her expertise and dedication to her clients shine through in every session. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable about fitness and training techniques, but her personalized approach truly sets her apart.

Chelsea's guidance has helped me achieve goals I never thought possible. She takes the time to understand my needs, challenges, and aspirations, crafting a tailored plan that keeps me motivated and focused. What's remarkable is that, unlike past experiences, I've never suffered injuries while training with her. She strikes the perfect balance between pushing me to improve and ensuring I'm safe and comfortable.

Recently, I faced a series of life setbacks. Chelsea's unwavering support during this time has been a true testament to her character. She's not just a trainer – she's a friend who genuinely cares about her clients' well-being.

Her commitment to educating and empowering her clients is something I deeply appreciate. She's patient, explains the 'why' behind each exercise, and offers valuable insights into maintaining a healthy lifestyle beyond the gym. I'm grateful for Chelsea's guidance as I navigate this challenging phase of my life.

If you're looking for a trainer who goes above and beyond, who treats you as an individual rather than just another client, and who is genuinely invested in your success, I wholeheartedly recommend Chelsea. She's a rare find and has made an incredible impact on my fitness journey.

Thank you, Chelsea, for your exceptional dedication...

I’ve been a member of this gym for a couple of months, and I just started using it. I almost canceled my membership before I started using it because I’ve read so many reviews saying that the place was dirty, mainly the locker rooms. I did not experience this on my first few visits, I experienced a very clean and immaculate place and thought the locker rooms were close to meticulous. So I thought maybe I just came by on a day where everything was clean and maybe that’s not the way. It is on a consistent basis. But I decided not go by the reviews on cleanliness and see things with my own eyes and 2nd and 3rd time. I’m 61, I’ve been to a lot of gyms thru the years, and some very high end gyms. I’m actually a bit of a gym snob and I can’t stand dirt and filth. But I found just the opposite at crunch fitness in Savannah. I thought the sauna was beautiful. I spent 23 minutes in it today and it was so clean, I had such a great sweat, and felt fantastic afterwards. When I left the sauna and came back into the locker room, restrooms and showers, which I had never really seen before because I haven’t used them. I thought they were immaculate. The bathroom was organized, showers and stalls and everything that I visually saw, looked immaculate. I was so impressed that I just needed to tell the person at the front desk. By the way, the staff at the front desk has always been helpful and up to speed and I’ve never had to wait more than a few seconds when I walk in if I have a question. I’ve been to some of the other gyms in the area and I have not seen a single gym as clean as this one. Very impressed and can’t wait to do my next sauna.if I have some free time, I’ll add some photos at...
