My husband purchased a pair of diamond studs from Kay Jewelers a few months ago, and they came with unique screw-on backs to help secure them. Recently, he had trouble getting one to screw back on properly, so we visited the Kay Jewelers location at Oglethorpe Mall in Savannah.
The moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Deja, a beautiful Black woman with a head full of gorgeous curls. She smiled and said, âWeâll be right with you folksââa small gesture that meant a lot, especially in a time when basic greetings often feel like a lost art.
Shortly after, we were helped by Kiera, who immediately made us feel welcomed. She had the sweetest smile and such a calm, kind demeanor. She took the time to walk us through every possible option for my husbandâs earring repair, explained the service timeline, and even educated us on how often the screw-back posts may need servicing. We had no idea this kind of maintenance was even necessary, and her patience and clarity were greatly appreciated.
While my husband spoke with her, I did what any curious wife would doâscoped out potential wedding ring upgrades, lolâand sure enough, I found one I loved. Kiera excitedly told me about upcoming sales and offered to favorite the ring under my account so I could easily return for it. She was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and personable.
Eventually, Deja joined us again, and the conversation turned to hairstyles and natural hair care. It honestly felt more like chatting with old friends than making a service visit. Kiera really stood outâwhether it was questions about warranties, repair options, or even things outside of our original reason for stopping by (like wedding rings and watches), she had an answer for everything.
We left feeling genuinely taken care of and like truly valued customers. The whole team was wonderful, but Kiera especially made the experience memorable. She will definitely be our go-to for all things Kay...
Read moreUPDATE !!!! I did go in a day later and have a different experience this time with Mrs Keisha she was so understanding and helped us with no problem making it right, unlike the time with my necklace situation. She even made my husband upgrade me lol. I will only go to her from now on. 𫢠I couldn't make this up if I tried. Last year my daughter bought me a necklace for Christmas I put on that morning as soon as she gifted it to me not even an hour later I was standing in mirror doing my makeup and it just fell in sink. Took it to them the day after and was denied getting it fixed. Fast forward to this Christmas as in today not even 30 min ago my husband gifted me a bracelet from them, and when he went to put it on me and it's broke it was only held together by the hinge of the clasp. Like wth I'm starting to see that their jewelry is garbage. I use to love Kay's and 2 Christmas in a row they have been a disappointment. My Husband is pissed!!!!! Didn't even...
Read moreI have had the worst experience with this place. The woman I first worked with was very helpful but she sent my ring off to be risized and it was sized wrong so I had to hurry and get it resized again because it was so close to my wedding date. Then I wear the ring for a month and the ring literally pops in half !!!!! How does a ring pop in half in A MONTH. A called and spoke with someone over the phone who was very rude about the situation. Took it to the location where she was nice enough to replace it with a brand new one and send it off to be resized again. Now I have to wait another 2 weeks to get this ring back. I go up there to pick it up and the lady who I spoke with when I brought it up there to show that it popped in half was there but wouldnât let me pick it up because I didnât have an ID!!!!! I am beyond frustrated with this place and will never ever ever shop with this...
