Max Richardson Jewelers — Attraction in Sevierville

Horrible and unprofessional jeweler I brought in a emerald and diamond ring to be resized. When I went to pick it up, I immediately knew it was not the original emerald. The female that said she was an owner, was very rude and in a sarcastic voice said, "What is the problem?". She said it loud enough for other people in the store to turn around and look. My significant other gave me this ring in 1980, so yes I know my own emerald, which had two visible inclusions (which made it unique) and it was a dark green. The emerald they replaced for mine is a cheap, cloudy, dull, light green emerald with only one tiny inclusion and does not even fit in the setting properly and you can see where they bent the setting and prongs to make their cheap emerald fit. I did not have an appraisal, so it is my word against their word. This ring is the only thing I had left from a house fire that killed my significant other. It is now ugly and I am devastated. I just can not comprehend how a jeweler can be so dishonest and steal from a customer. Please don't let this nightmare...

Worst experience ever!!! This used to be a great local place that did great work but WOW have things changed!! Worst customer service you can imagine!!! Rude is an understatement. And one star is generous but google won’t allow negative stars!!They act like it is an inconvenience to even walk up to the counter. And the kicker is it’s the owner and his wife!! Same people that have been there for the last 20 plus years!! Dropped off an Invicta watch over 6 weeks ago with the promise they were ordering a pin for it the next day! Six weeks and multiple phone calls and onsite visits later go pick it up to just go to another jeweler only to find out they have put a pin in it that doesn’t fit and is hanging out both ends.. and now the watch cap is suddenly mysteriously missing!! We will never step foot in this establishment again! If running this business in the ground is the goal I would say success has...

Absolutely love going into Max Richardson's, there selection is awesome, remarkably beautiful pieces, even have a few solid gold pocket watches. Had a necklace i broke, fixed it while i shopped nextdoor 20 min tops, absolutely perfect...cant even tell !! Have some scrap gold... they buy it also, his daughter "sorry can't remember her name" lol... sweetie pie..lol. like to aggravate her, but she is honest, will show you the weight, and show u the price of gold that day, then makes a offer, nothing sneaky, cheating, JUST WHAT ITS WORTH ONLY!
