As far as selection goes, this place has a megatropolis of different candies, ice cream, fudge, and other various sweet treats. But be prepared to pay top dollar on everything they have for sale in this establishment. Everything goes by weight (1/4 pound : $9-$10) , except for a few exceptions. On special candy items, or ice cream and fudge for a few examples. Keep in mind that this store specifically is located in South Padre Island, Texas, the prices are insanely High compared to any other place selling sweets. On a negative note some of the things that my family and I purchased from here were pretty good, but there were several items that we bought that tasted nothing like the flavors they claimed to be. For example, I purchased a "Strawberry Cheesecake" flavored piece of Fudge. But as far as my younger siblings, and I were concerned, this tasted nothing like strawberry cheesecake. Lastly, the customer service was poor, and none of the employees that we asked questions to, or interacted with, didn't speak much English. One employee spoke none at all. Additionally some employees would hover near us constantly as we were browsing throughout the store. This felt to me like being pressured to buy something. Or at the very least like being rushedthe way that they would inquire every couple minutes as I looked at different things if I'd like to buy it Worth a look around if nothing else, and if you have kids as well, or just love sweets... then the atmosphere alone is worth a browse through the store. ( Price Range: 1/4...
Read moreShort and “sweet” - expensive and very low quality candy. My two teenage daughters and I were Extremely disappointed with their stale, low quality, and awful tasting candies. Do not buy the weighed candies.
My daughters randomly grabbed gummies, chocolates, and other candies. We paid over $50 at the counter after the bags were weighed in. While we were a little shocked at the price in comparison to the little amount of candies, we assumed the price reflected the high candy quality. Unfortunately, we were dead wrong because the candies were dreadfully awful in both taste and quality. They must not be selling much candies consequently leaving bad quality expired candies on the counters.
Ironically, we went back home and watched Willy Wonka. As we were watching the movie, the candies remained untouched because of how gross they tasted. I cannot tell you how many candies I spat on my way home and as we watched the movie. I really do believe their candies were expired and the one which were not dated were simply disgusting. 🤢 🤮
So be warned. Take a tour of the establishment, ask to sample before you buy, and ask for a weigh in price before you buy. But I cannot in good conscience recommend...
