Mountain America Community Iceplex — Attraction in Tempe

Pros: Great ice rink. Pro shop can manually sharpen your blades. It’s our son’s favorite place to get his skates sharpened. - They have a snack bar that sells beer. You can watch the ice without having to be in the cold area! Usually has a sports channel playing on one central TV. It’s a clean and newer building. The manager Rob and his staff are all really nice.

Cons: The women’s bathroom is in the cold area though the bathroom itself is not cold. So far I haven’t found a great place for parents to work remotely while their kids are at skating practice. But they do have public libraries on campus if you need a quiet space with WiFi. the water from the water bottle filler the main area tastes bad. Recommend bringing extra water...

If you remember the first review, I told you about all the little problems. I can now say they have all been fixed.

The place is also very clean. And it stays that way.

The parking can still be a little tough sometimes due to ASU sedule of classes.

I'm still not happy with the website graphics. They could be better.

There is one big thing that will make the rink better with time. That is, the management for this rink is the same ones from the old Ocean Slde. They took that old rink and turned it into a first class hockey rink. Therefore, the new rink will continue to grow and get even better.
